Ri'sari's Guide to Great Fortune

Warm greetings. This one has discovered a lucrative practice to obtain many green, blue, and purple crafting upgrades. Using this method, you too could see your fortunes rise!

First, you should know some things.

• Each new character receives 3 skill points.
• The majority of XP gained for crafting in Blacksmithing, Woodworking, and Clothing comes from deconstructing items you have not made.
• You can craft with items in your bank no matter where you are.
• Any character can access items in your bank.

Steps to great fortune.

1. Put many armor and weapons in your bank, no matter their level.
2. Create 7 brand new alternate characters.
3. Immediately run to the crafting area with each character and deconstruct items from your bank to raise Blacksmithing, Woodworking, and Clothing to the third rank.
4. Invest your three skill points in the hireling skills in Blacksmithing, Woodworking, and Clothing.
5. Log in to each character once a day
6. Retrieve the hireling items in your main character mail.
7. Give Ri'sari all things you make.

Using these steps, you will find many green, blue, and purple upgrade components -- all free of charge!

Of course step 8 is the most important one :P

I was just thinking about doing this the other night. It just dawned on me that if my alts have hirelings, that I would get more crafting stuff....

Of course.... having space is the issue >_<

A couple of things to know about this tactic:

1. The most efficient way of getting those toons to level 3 is to decon stuff till level 2 in the skill, then hit the mages guild for books. Bookshelves restock with a login/logout, btw. If you are in a hurry, then simply check the mages guild once and craft any missing skills on up to level 3.

2. The contents of the urns you get are determined when the urn is opened, not created, so the higher your crafting skills, skill points spent, etc, the better the loot.

3. The urns you get on the "hireling alts" once detached from mail cannot be banked.

Workaround: Open the mail on the alt toon, but DO NOT DETACH. Now the mail is openable and detachable by your main toon, who then opens the urns for better loot than the alt would get because of skills.

Yes. This one wrote the guide before he actually followed it. You need only log in to each alt and then your main and take all the attachments at once.
