An Inn in Skywatch.
Hallem Lovestring. Altmer. 150 years.
Fabulous...
"I was raised to believe Altmer were the supirior race my whole life, from the time of my birth, to the time i was one hundred and two! And why wouldnt i believe it? Everyone I'd ever known did, and there was little to convince me that it wasnt true. Now I'm a hundred and fifty, and let me tell you, these past forty eight years have been very enlightening. I've traveled all of Tamriel, from the gress beautiful landscape here on summerset isle to the the Tundra of Skyrim. From the dense green of Valenwood to the ash wastelands of Morrowind. Highrock, Elyswer, a bit of Blackmarsh, as it very hard to go anywhere there if you arnt covered in scales.Cyrodil was rather lovely, and the Desert that the Redguards are so fond of were NOT lovely. Very harsh place.
I've haggled with the silver tongued Khajiit, and ended up paying for him to take my valuebles off me. I fought with an Orc, dont bloody well recomend it, nasty business. I camped with a Nord once. Tried to get me to swim in the water.... well it was ice really. Crazy nonsence. I've been shown a thing or two by a Breton, who in his brief life span knew more about the Daedra and magic than I had even heard rumors of. I've been robbed by Dunmer children, Beaten up by Impeariels, and scoffed at by trolls for my horrid sword play. Of course, the Nord I was with chopped them all in half with a single swing of a breast plate he'd found on the ground. I've even been shot in the foot by a Bosmer from nearly a hundred meters away.
I must say after all my travels If the Altmer really are the Supirior race, I'd be hardpressed to believe it. Sure, we may live alot longer than most other races. But the Biggoted veiws of my peers does the whole of Tamriel as well as the Altmer a gross disservise. Queen Ayrenn, She is such a lovly young mer isnt she? Ayrenn has traveled Tamriel and she too has seen what I've seen and partook in what few Altmer would ever even loath doing. If only they werent so damn'ed afraid that they might actually like the world we live in, to go out and discover their own oppinions of what Tamriel is really like, and quite being so stuck up on -we use to be gods- nonsence they might actually contribute to the beauty of Nirn. I pray to the eight we win this war, not for the Domion, or the Thalmar. And not because Men are so terrible we couldnt stand to see another one dawn the Imperiel crown. But because I believe she is RIGHT! I believe we can live as equals, the other races of tamriel have so much they could teach us if only we'd listen."
Hallem looked to his drinkin buddy, whom had nearly drank himself to sleep. The Mer was all but asleep and resting his head on his mug. "Rupert, are you even listening to me? Its rude to sleep when your talking to someone." The Mer shook his head from side to side, rousing himself. "Who the hell is Robpert?" He asked bleching loudly.
Hallem stood up from the table not having touch a single drop of his drink. He frowned apologeticly. "I believe I've been talking to the wrong mer, If you'll excuse me I'll see you later Robpert. It was a pleasure meeting you. Do take care." And with that he turned and left the Inn. The Rest of Auridon awaited him.
