W-why do you look at Ah'naami this way? Have you never seen a khajiit before? Perhaps not with a tail so twitchy, and ears so flat, yes? Well, let this one tell you a tale...

Ah'naami was born with it. K-khajiit means the twitchiness, not the scars; this one earned those. She was the oldest littermate, and born to prestigious plantation owners, yet so small! So sickly! "Scared of own shadow", mother said..."Ah'naami s-stutters because she is even scared of her own words". Perhaps this one's parents were wise, yes? Ah'naami admits, she was once afraid of the world outside...full of danger, and s-sickness. Ugh! So much sickness, impossible to avoid. Once, this one spent two moons holed up in the family farmhouse, just trying to get over a s-spell of rattles. Weak and sniveling.

That was when this one learned of poisons. Ah'naami was so young, just a c-cub! -- But she knew how it felt to lose control of one's own body. Young khajiit understood the herbs...which ones healed, which ones harmed. The healing ones, A-ah'naami had to eat every day, she was so fragile. One grew used to their appearance and bittersweet taste. The harming ones...well, it is useful to have a vast supply of vermin, yes? Those nasty rats, they eat anything! This one wonders how many realized they were g-gnawing on their last meal? Khajiit can still remember her first experiments...Deathbell, Imp Stool, Red Mountain Flower. If one mashed them up with some spare grain, n-no hungry skeever could resist! And so, while littermates were out growing s-strong in the warm sun over the moon sugar patties, this one studied the art of death.

Ah, yes. Ah'naami watched the way the prey moved as it died -- some heaving, some staggering, s-some foaming at the mouth. Oh! It raises this one's hackles just thinking a-about the foolish vermin's last twitches. Simply delicious...something w-weaker than her!

And meanwhile, t-this one's clan had never seen a more pest-free moon sugar plantation.

Anyway, the older this one grew, the q-quicker her mind became. Khajiit's body was frail, yes, but her thoughts were sharp as daggers. Which Ah'naami grew fond of, by the way. No effort in a dagger! No need to be strong, or healthy! A blade dipped in a little homebrewed poison does one's work just fine, yes?

The older khajiit began to explore this business, using a-alchemy not to raise herself up, but drag others down to one's level. Ah'naami is too weak to be a proper sneakthief, yes? Not muscled enough, not fast enough...a little plump, too. But she learned other ways. Ways to poison khajiit from the inside out, steal t-their minds instead of their lives (but, sometimes, their lives too). S-skooma became Ah'naami's favorite poison. Yes, such power...for once, addicts groveled at her feet! As if this was not reward enough, one is paid for her efforts! Ah, what a b-beautiful thing.

Of course, this one had to make sacrifices. Ah'naami left her clan's plantation -- there, business was too risky. But this one was still too obviously weak...she a-attracted bandits like skeevers to a gutter! Yes, Ah'naami lost much skooma this way. Poisoned daggers cannot ward off a horde of b-bandits when one is too sickly to fight back. Customers grew angry. Threats were made. It was a dark time.

But Ah'naami is l-learning to hide her weakness. This one's tongue is sharp, and daggers are sharper. Khajiit can even dance around her s-stutter, if she must. Or stand in the shadows, so none can see Ah'naami's tired eyes or the s-softness of her untrained body. Keep others guessing, yes? It keeps this one safe.

Now, Ah'naami has come here. There is s-strength in numbers; a business is a logical step to protect khajiit. And Ah'naami always has poison to spare.

Ri'sari thinks this Ah'naami will make a valuable ally. Already can he think of a few unsavory individuals that deserve to die a poison skeever's death. Purrhapsba contract is in order for an alchemist's house visit, hm?

This one knows the pain of being raised on a moon sugar plantation. The moons saw it fit to punissh him with the same calling.
