Difficulties with Bane (Skullcrusher180)

So today Skullcrusher180 (Bane) has been causing big scenes and being incredibly rude to people in guild chat, most notably to myself who was simply telling him to calm down and stop causing a scene in guild chat. I just want to explain that this is the first time I interacted with him in Guild Chat ever and I never had any issues with him before.

The first time (I don't have screenshots) is he asked for help with a quest, which I happily offered him some advice, but then he pretty much tore a strip off me which summed translated to "Tell me something I don't know idiot." At this point, some other guild members weren't inclined to help him after that.

The second time he called he essentially called me out (I don't think that's the proper the term I'm looking for) Saying the following:

I just want to clarify this is the first time I recall talking to Skullcrusher and that I don't recall ever telling him to stop doing something.

The third time he outright blamed me for him being scammed by a Werewolf Scammer, and then proceeded to make a scene about it in Guild Chat.

And he proceed to make a scene so I asked him to stop.

Afterwards, I remembered we just made an officer chat so I brought my concerns there and after a brief discussion, we all decided it would be for the best to let him go. (Unfortunately I only captured one screenshot of the exchange)

So I messaged him on the decision and why, But at this point it got extremely disturbing for myself and I had to ignore him and turn off chat for a while because his response reminded me of a point in my life I would rather forget.

Now, I don't know what happened afterwards, but from what I heard from Asks-for-Seconds (@Nabbicus) when I returned, it was made more clear that it was the right decision to let him go. I don't know what he meant by that, because honestly I just finished crying at that point, and I didn't want to know what happened after I turned off my Chat.

Way more work is going in to this than needed. I think it's enough to take managers at their word when it comes to things like this. If you decide you need to kick someone, post about why in this forum just so everyone knows what's going on. People who are kicked will almost ALYWAYS play innocent after the fact and try to get back in. I would prefer it if when people are kicked, they are kicked for good. Skullcrusher does not belong in this guild.

Oh wow, That last comment was really taken out of context and a huge miscommunication (I immediatly ignored when I saw the comment and broke down crying due to my own history). Honestly, I was the one who had removed her, but I brought it to the other managers on at the time and we made a vote. There was me, Asks-for-Seconds, Tyerie, Ice-Eyes and one other who I can't remember all felt it would be better to remove. I apologize about your friend, and I'll knowing here condition (Aspergers, I'm aware of it) I'll be will to accept her back. Though I would like to know what happened after I removed myself. Seconds said it was made apparent to be the right choice.

It seems manager rules were followed in this case, which is good. However I want everyone to understand that guild removal is a last resort and should be restricted to extreme cases. People who are annoying need guidance.

Emotions were high in this case. Sounds like the right choice was made. But it still makes me a little uncomfortable!

Also remember the distinction between OOC and IC.

IC drama is fine.

OOC drama is certainly not.

She tried to roleplay her way back in. Not happening.

There are a few newer members who do not understand that. They see the RP this evening as brash and rude from our standpoint, but don't realize that all decisions are weighed carefully by management (and that, by that point, the decision is made and enacted).

Bane was on my friendslist before I ever joined BSC. From the comments, it never looked as though they were being TRULY belligerent (ie fuck you, burn in hell, die your horrible person, etc.) and the most upsetting thing they said was in a private message...milksops are milksops, though. I'm just saying that it would take a lot more than that to get me to kick someone.

People who create hostile or uncomfortable environments don't have to be evil. If someone, especially an officer, is repeatedly being made uncomfortable after more than a few warnings, that's a big problem.

I read you loud and clear.

Because she has shown up to every event since being removed and some managers want to give her a second chance, I have allowed her to rejoin.

Hopefully she has learned not to be that way again. It seems, at the very least, that one of you have been teaching her how to RP better. That particular manager has also been letting her know where our roleplays are.

If she causes issues again, I am ignoring her and don't want to see her invited to any future events. There is no reason for someone to be a dick OOC to anyone.
