I just joined the guild last night, pretty late so I didn't get much of a chance to chat before I had to head off. A bit about me...I'm female, early 20s, and I live in the eastern US. I've been roleplaying P&P since I was six(gotta hook 'em young!), and online regularly for about four years now. I've also played a variety of MMOs over the past decade, primarily Tibia and WoW, though I've tended to dabble. Using the Bartle Test labels, I consider myself to primarily be a heart(socializer)/spade(explorer) type of player.

My previous experience with roleplaying in MMOs predicts that I'm probably going to remain OOC in channels such as guild chat(it makes my head hurt to explain channels like that in IC terms), though I have no problem with going IC for events or during face-to-face character meetings. I generally consider most actions my characters take according to their personalities(it really helps to have a character motivated by loot) in the first place, so it's not much of a problem for me to step fully IC from time to time. If/when I play other characters who wouldn't be caught dead in this guild ICly(let's face it, it does take a special sort of character to think the blue skooma company is a good idea), I'm probably going to remain entirely OOC.

Lyria's background(which some of the guild, especially higher ups, may already know as part of her invitation to join the company) is that she's a short(even for her race) Bosmer, a self-described freelance rogue - a mercenary-for-hire with discretion, so to speak. She generally sells her services to the highest bidder, but will turn down contracts that seem outright immoral(legitimate business ventures are not immoral, of course), though she generally doesn't care to be bound by such ridiculous things as laws. She doesn't talk about her past much, seeming to regret something that occurred, though her accent places her hometown somewhere in rural Valenwood.

I look forward to hanging out with you guys!
