At least once a day I hear people in the guild chat ask to be bitten (not condemning it, I want to be a vampire myself), so I figured I'd start this thread so people who want to be bitten can post here, and maybe those who are able to bite can help them with becoming a vampire/werewolf. It would help if everyone's post followed a similar format to this:

Name: Tekeet
Faction: Aldmeri Dominion
Level: 23
Want: Vampire

That's about it...Well, enjoy!

Hello,
You dont have to wait to be bitten by someone. You can contract both the Vampire disease and the Werewolf disease on your own. I know of one for each as of right now.

Werewolf:: Cyrodil, at Lunar Fang Docks. There are regular human looking NPC's but if you get too close they turn into Werewolves. Just let them whop on you for a bit and you will contract the disease. They are tough so dont worry if you die, you will still have the disease.

Vampire:(Im not completely sure about this one, but there is a quest related to an NPC having been turned so I assume there are some there) Greenglade: Southwest, near Shade Mist Moors.

But, to follow the format:

Also there is a YouTube video on how to contract the Werewolf disease for Ebonheart if there are any of that faction here or with alts.

I was riding through Reaper's March at night to capture a waypoint for someone to travel to through me, when along side of the main central(a bit east) north/south road (about just north from the middle), I encountered three mobs called Bloodfiends. The place quickly was swarmed by other players, who stripped off their armor and were shouting to not kill the mobs. They say after three hits from them you get infected with Vampirism. They have AoE attacks so don't try smacking them until you get aggro because this could likely cause a panic in other to do so and you end up with dead bloodfiends and very upset players. You can see it in your character sheet screen (default hotkey 'C') if you've been infected. Once that happens, there's a shadey fellow (I believe it was in Rawl'khat, one of the towns, I can't remember Khajiit names.) who will give you directions to either cure it, or embrace it. This ended up being a quest where you do end up fighting one on one with some level 40+ dudes, so bring your A-Game. Also, during that quest, your first two abilities on your bar will be replaced with vampire powers, and you CANNOT SWITCH YOUR SKILLS DURING THE QUEST, so be prepared. Good luck!

I've been to those places in Cyrodil, I just started this thread so people who wanted to become a vampire/werewolf in the player-assisted way could get in touch with someone to help them with that.

For sure! Just wanted to share what I've discovered. :) Sorry! It's a slow process raising the ranks in the tree, but I'll be able to start chomping on you all sooner or later!

I've been referring people here when they ask in chat. Hopefully we can get it running smoothly and then eventually we'll all be skooma-cooking vampires. Clearly.

As far as I was aware Bloodfiends could only infect on a new moon and werewolves a full moon, did they change this at some point?

Seeking vampire bite

While I'm aware that this toon is very low level to be worrying about such things, I plan to level her quickly and vampirism is pivotal to the build I'll be creating. Since the wait would seem to be weeks, I thought I'd go ahead and get my name on the list for anyone feeling nibbly.

*update*

Got my bite! I'll be giving them away to guilds as soon as I gain the ability.

What are the pros and cons of bring a vamp or werewolf?
TheVitulusMay 01, 2014

Pros: New skill tree. Cool roleplay potential.

Cons: Weakness to Fighter's Guild players in PvP (Not common, though they might be now because of vampire cheese) and fire(for vampires).

Vampire - Some strong drain abilities. A very powerful ultimate. Increased health regen. Skills here. You will clearly be one, so if you roleplay, you'll kinda be stuck playing as someone with it unless you get it cured. Stage 1 is pretty inconspicuous, but unless you take a break to feed every hour, you'll advance during long scenes.

Werewolf - Good AoE, eat corpses, increased armor, stamina, and run speed. Skills only work in werewolf form, though. Skills here. Only shows when you transform, so you can easily hide it or not roleplay as it.

I beginning to see a flaw in my plan for this thread...The demand greatly outweighs the supply -.-'

Sounds good, this one finds the concept of a skooma company and a clan of vampires working together most amusing.

I have one character that is destined to become a were. I got bitten in Reaper's March, thanks to comrade ForneyWizard who pointed out that werewolves were spawning.

I had to level to 22 before I could beat a prey; at which point I was able to get the Frost Troll the first go around. My advice?: Don't - Don't! - try to do this when the server is at peak load; small amounts of lag will kill you.

Tears in the Rain is an orc raised by argonians in the Altmeri Domain; now also a full werewolf.

I have one character that is destined to become a vampire:

Ereni is a dunmer nightblade in the Altmeri Domain.

Ereni is a nightblade. I was duel-wielding at level 12 when I got bitten in Reaper's March. Someone told me that to beat the level 42 worm assassins I'd need to be much higher level or have a bow with the scatter-shot knockback ability. So I swapped to bow and as soon as I could morph scatter-shot (at level 19) went in and cleared the quest the first time - easily.

Note that no matter what paint/markings etc you have; at stage 4 vampirism you just go pale. Ereni has black tattoo/paint with red skeletal markings all over and you can't tell at stage 4.

That's not a bad idea. Maybe we could have some event where we go out hunting for blood fiends/werewolves to bite people. In the 5 seconds I spent considering this idea before posting it, no flaws arose but if there are some I'm not seeing, let me know.

Ah, I heard that you could only get bit by a werewolf or a vampire during certain moons but didn't know if it was true or not. I also heard about some guilds that focus on just controlling bite locations during bite moons so no people can get bit and those who have been bit can charge insane prices to bite others :/

You are correct. Economically, and IC, it is an amazing strategy. OOC, it's a dickish move. Still, for every person who pays to get bit, there are plenty of people who will bite for free. It's all about value. And the flaw in the economic theory is that there's no real world value for this... so, it can be worth 10,000 (or higher), or worth nothing, and still be correct.

around $20. Or free :3

And that's where economic theory gets thrown out the window ;)

Although... upsetting a rival guild for hogging a revenue source... I smell a guild event.

Nuran, Veteran 4, looking for a willing Vampire to share his/her boon. I put some coin on the side (20K gold) for the trouble.

Kothar-wa-Khasis, Veteran 1, is also looking for a lycanthrope contact.

Update: Got it on Kothar.
Update 2: Got it on Nuran, via a... fellow benefactor. You know who you are - thank you.

If anyone with vampire/werewolf sees your post and wants to help you, then they'll either message you on the site or in game. Once you get your request filled, state so in this thread by editing your earlier post.
