Weekly Live Auction

(NOTE: To make sure you are sending to the right person, especially if this post has not been updated in a while just try contacting one of the people mention and get the up to date information)
Warm greetings, travelers! This one would like to invite you to take part in Blue Skooma's weekly Live Auction.

When: 10PM EST
Where: Marburk in Greenshade
How: If you are having problems coming, IM @Ice_Eye or @Sweet_Roll_Thief, and we can help get you to the auction.

Buying an item: The Auctioneer will ask for starting bid takers. Bidders say a higher number in /say until the bidding dies down and The Auctioneer says "Sold to (name) for (amount)!" Minimum bid raise is 25g.

Listing an item: Send an in-game mail to @Sweet_Roll_Thief or @Ice_Eye with the item attached and your starting bid in the content of the message. One item or item set per mail, please! 10% of proceeds go to our guild as prize money for our other events.

Items received for auction after Saturday, 9PM EST will be returned because we need time to enter everything in to a spreadsheet beforehand.

We are a very large and established roleplaying guild that has been running this event every Saturday since launch with great success. See you there!

How to run the event

Event Manager 1:

• Make a spreadsheet detailing each item in your mail and who sent it to you.
• Place all your coin in the bank before the event.
• Begin auctioning items one at a time IC.
• Take auctioned item from your mail.
• Ask winning bidder to come forward and trade.

Event Manager 2:

• Keep track of who has paid for each item and for how much on the spreadsheet.

Do you encourage people to post items they intend to sell on this thread like the previous auctions?

Wont we be needing a manager for public relations during the event? (ie advertising the guild, making sure everyone knows its Blue Skooma running the event and leading interested people to the website to join)

Good point. This can easily be done by the auctioneer as long as the other duties are being properly seen to.

This one will be sure there is a Fire Resist Glyph in there to throw your septims at :roll:

Just read on that reddit post that it requires 6 people to function fully. So how exactly will this work? Also I might not be able to make it all the time to auction, don't know yet if I will come tonight.

No problem, Ice. I just put you because you are usually around. Two people to organize TP's, and then the other 4 usual jobs is what I was going with.

here was the entire clip I recorded (2 hours and 45 mins, geez!). When I started up there was a big spike in viewers, mostly non talkers. I know I directed around 3-4 folks directly and was giving out directions, so hopefully more would come in:

I'm open to any suggested branding to give on the guild during these events to get more folks over.
