basically, chat was getting away from us and I attempted to reel it in. @inferno187 didn't want to do that so i whispered him reminding him that when a manager shuts something down it's best to leave the topic alone. he responded with a lot of attitude for something so trivial.

I missed the very beginning and the very end with screens cause I was distracted but I hope this is sufficient.

And I did apologize to his saying "I never meant an offence from anything I have said so I apologize if thats how it came across"

Officers online:

Ja'Kasim
Qa'iit
S'har
Ahnyamar
Ri'sari (AFK)

Not that Ahnyamar needs proof, but here's the original thing. Ahnyamar politely asked to stop a conversation topic. Then this:

After deliberating among the officers, I approached infrno with the intent to kick him:

Please find it within your hearts to forgive my shitty Paint skills.

EDIT: Somehow in my shitty chat splicing, I deleted an "Are you sure?" between the "Yep." and "Yep. You can say anything you want. I'll listen."

Also, I've messaged Ri'sari about infrno's behavior before.

Ah! This will do nicely.

I want to use this example to make a very important point. Not just to those involved here, but to all managers. (J'sarr is now going to use you both, Ahnyamar and Ja'Kasim, for his point making! Muhahah)

Ultimately the managers have come to the right decision, the guy sounds like trouble. So you all did the right thing. However, I've got some thoughts on how similar situations should be handled in the future.

Diffuse drama, do not escalate it.

Send the member a short, polite /tell asking them to stop. Something like "We want to keep the guild chat free from this topic for now." Then leave it at that. That is all you need to say.

They will be upset. People don't like to be "told off". As a Manager you will need to expect that. You do not have to respond. Let them get it off their chest. As long as they stop messing up guild chat then it's mission accomplished.

Do not try to argue with them. Do not try to get them to see your point of view. That will escalate the situation. You want to do the opposite.

If they calm down and stop causing issues then that's great. If they start using offensive remarks or persist in disrupting guild chat then you have grounds for removal.

Don't use terms like "back talk" or "I'm your superior", etc. Since we're not in a military style guild and this is ooc. Just make that simple, polite statement.

Hahah Ja'Kasim, leading with "I hear you have a problem with authority" is straight up looking for a fight. You so feisty! Remember... diffuuuuuussseee.

The guild is really coming a long nicely, thanks in large part to the quality of the members and managers. I really appreciate you all stepping up to the plate and taking on the responsibilities. Myself, along with Ri'sari, have a particular vision of how the guild should be run.

I hope that all made sense! It's quite late and J'sarr should be curling up in a bed or someone's lap. If you have any questions at all, please ask them here, or come see me. :genericfriendlyemoticon:

As I said, the decision to kick him had already been reached. I was simply letting him speak his mind before informing him of his termination. I would also like to add that the problem wasn't that he kept talking about it. It was his extremely disrespectful way of telling Ahnyamar that he did not give a shit about what they had said.

I understand what you are saying, however.
