I got an event idea......
Have you guys ever heard of the Amazing Race? Well I want to recreate something similar in ESO. The basic concept of the Amazing race is that small teams travel around Earth, finding places and then completing tasks at those places to get clues on where the next place is. We could do the same thing except hold it in the province of Auridon (we could do more but would be more difficult to figure out the logistics). But for this I would need the help of several managers.
How it would work:
1. All participants will travel to some designated start area (some wayshrine probably Vuhkel Guard) and the teams would be set up. The teams would be of size 3 or 4 and should have a healthy mix of level guys. So no 4 rank 50s in a group.
2. This manager would also give the teams the first clue over guild chat as to where the next person is located, these clues would not be too obvious but also not too difficult as finding the person is only one part of the race.
3. When the group found the manager at the next place in the race, the group would be given a task to do. Once this task is completed, the manager will give them the next clue for the next place.
4. This would be repeated several times depending on how long we want it too take. I personally think 5 places between the start and the finish is a good idea.
5. The first team to arrive at the finish as well as the second (or even third?) will be given a prize, perhaps 10000g or something of that value.
Some important rules:
-No wayshrine travel is allowed during the course of the event
-Items that you have before may not be used to complete challenges and activites (may exceptions based on activity)
-Teams cannot help out each other
Additional Thoughts:
-there could also be choice involved in the tasks
-other rewards for best completion of tasks
Anyway I want to know thoughts on this idea and if there would be managers willing to help as it will probably take around 5-6 of us to run. The plan I have in mind is to do this event the weekend of May 10-11 and we will probably need to allow 2 or so hours for the event.
