If you are manager of a commune, please make your application as soon as possible. To do this:

  1. Click the Admin drop-down at the top left of the site.
  2. Click Modules.
  3. Click Edit on the application module for your commune.
  4. Click the "Form Builder" tab. (Everything else has already been set up for you.)
  5. Create your application.

Once all applications have been made, I will begin phasing out the "Join Now!" application so new members join directly through your commune.

Ideally we will have one Senior Manager with two Managers leading each commune, but I am not prepared to promote anyone to Senior Manager just yet.

If you are interested in being a manager in a commune, please post here.

Please post any questions here.

Okay so I'm stupid excited to get some commune-centric plotting underway, and so I have the following questions:

1) Now that I have an application for the Merchants set up, will I be seeing applicants separately or through the same venue we all have been using?

2) Is there more to see on the commune's page beyond the application? (If so, I will need someone to approve mine, as I am unable to approve myself)

3) How may I view who is attached to which commune, at the very least my own?

4) Will our respected Commune forums be private to those communes, or public?

5) Uuhhh I think that's it, how are you?

1) Now that I have an application for the Merchants set up, will I be seeing applicants separately or through the same venue we all have been using?

Same venue for now. But, they will have the label of the commune they are for. For example: "Merchants." I will be phasing out the application we have been using once Commune of Secrecy and Companions have made their apps.

2) Is there more to see on the commune's page beyond the application? (If so, I will need someone to approve mine, as I am unable to approve myself)

Nothing more to see right now other than the application. No one needs to approve your app because you have already been given the rank and permissions manually.

3) How may I view who is attached to which commune, at the very least my own?

Ri'sari can make each commune page display its members next to the application OR on the guild roster page.

4) Will our respected Commune forums be private to those communes, or public?

This one thinks they could be either. Public or private, they should all be the same. Which do you all think?

5) Uuhhh I think that's it, how are you?

Not so terrible. Ready for those other two apps to be done so we can get rid of the old application! :)

There is a typo at the start somewhere.

Putting in my unnecessary and unasked for two cents, I think that the communes pages should be public access, for a variety of reasons that I am too lazy to go into at this moment.
The least of which being that it gives everyone an ability to know what's going in the guild, to interact with communes they're not a part of, and to enjoy the writing that goes on within the forums. (Especially the Companion's. ;D)

Furthermore, I've made up my application. I did not consider curtailing it to include general acceptance to the guild: should I change that?
Do let me know, and I will make changes as need (and Ri'sari) dictates.

edit;;
damn Seconds.
way to make me look bad.
(just checked out your app form)

Once all the pages are done, I will add an OOC portion at the bottom with:
"

I understand the difference between Out Of Character (OOC) and In Character (IC). Someone speaking to me IC may be insulting, but that does not mean the player has any ill will toward me OOC.

*Yes, I understand.

*Show me more about this."

Are you already a member of the guild in-game?

*Yes

* No

What is your account name? So we can invite you if you are not already in the guild.

This is the name that includes an @ symbol, not your character name. "

Beautiful! Thanks for the solid answers. And yeah I'm with Jo'kyrr on keeping them public. Gives our content lurkers some TLC, on top of the obvious benefits. Organization + Inclusiveness = Happy Fun Time Guild!
