Moved the trivia event for this because it is very important everyone is on the same page for the future of the guild.

I will make every effort to attend, but there is a very distinct possibility that I will not be able to. I promised a RL friend that I would accompany her to a very important doctor's appointment, and I cannot bail on her.

I would suggest that you line up someone in advanced to take notes from the meeting-- and for further meetings. It would be easier than asking for volunteers at the beginning of the meeting.
I am, of course, happy to make the summaries for all meetings that I can attend.

Any volunteers if Jo'kyrr can't make it?

J'sarr will also require these notes.

Please attach notes to a pigeon and send it to Elsweyr.

From Qa'Han:

First I'd like to apologize for not being able to make the meeting tonight, but with the store closing down people are jumping ship and positions need to be filled. That being said, I already accepted two applications for Markets complete with IC interviews and I feel I know the system. That being said though, I did have opinions of the system and ways to improve it I wanted to pass on. I recommend reading everything before hand, as the two go hand-in-hand.

Opinions of the System
I love the ideas of the Communes. Its a simple way to keep everything organized and straight, and it will help avoid people wandering aimlessly around trying to awkwardly get into a roleplay as they would already be in a circle. It also doesn't limit cross Commune role plays as well.
The main issue with the Communes is it has been introduce to late. The guild has grown to big, to fast, and nearing the cap now, it will be hell to try to explain the system to everyone and if they do understand, to accept the flood of commune applications I feel it will be just like the applications for the entering the guild (i.e: Accept and go). I feel this could of been a solution for the Bank Raiders (See Ways to Improve)

Ways to improve it
This is going to sound a but harsh, but if we are to begin weeding out the quality from the crud, I think its the only way, and I thought of how we would do it:
I think the guild needs a soft reset. Keep the site, everything that has been established and worked on, but a complete purge of most of the users. I've already thought of how to proceed through this transition, but feel free to make any adjustments.
We give everyone a week notice to submit an application to one of the Communes. If a member is not in one of the Communes (Or at least submitted an application to one) at the end of the week, we remove them from the guild. As not everyone reads the Guild News, we should announce every two hours or so of the decision as to give everyone more then enough notice of this.
During this week, we don't accept/invite any new members to the guild, we're trying to weed out the quality from the crud.
Wipe of the website forum/members. Clean up the 100 introduction pages on the forum. It would give a bad impression to new members after the purge if they see all those introductions, no members.
New bank access requirements: Be part of a Commune. With the communes established, I feel it should now be the requirement to be part of a commune to be allowed access to the bank. This will mean a character will need to go through an IC to be allowed access to the bank before hand. I keep a close eye on the bank and I notice we have a few members who use the guild exclusively for access to the bank/store. They take decent things out, but put crap back in. However, they still posted an introduction.
Managers keep track of member activity of the communes. Self-Explanatory.

Please reply to the message just so I know you got it and read my opinion and stand point. I would greatly appreciate if you could share this with the guild if I cannot make it tonight.
