In the Skywatch hangout, the Merchants were sent for to answer a company summons, where they would find a pacing Asks-For-Seconds as well as Qu'Han who was busy at the large central table with a writing quill on seemingly endless parchments.
The fatter of the two Argonians addressed the gathering, a bit of mad excitement in his otherwise nightshade tone. "Good, you're here. Allow me to get right to the point, yes? Two of our very own have received traditional approval to join in the Khajiiti ritual known as the 'Right of Claiming', something I am certain most of you are familiar with." He then paused when his eyes fell onto Mereneth. "It is something like a Union of Mara. It is a very significant ceremony, and we have taken its preparation into our hands. As Qa'Han has informed me, something like this normally takes months of preparation. Well, we're going to do it in the next few days. By Sundas, in fact, overseas, in Grahtwood." Asks-For-Seconds let that bit sink in for a moment as he took a drink from a thick copper goblet he had resting on the table.
"Three things come to mind." He continued. "One, as crazy as this undertaking sounds, Qa'Han and I cannot think of a better way to test to see if all those fancy applications we've got from you all are worth the weight of the ink you've poured onto them. Second, our resources can, in fact, allow for this. With the most recent and generous investment from a private benefactor, we have a surplus of funds to work with to pull whatever strings you may need to pull to make sure our associates." He began counting off his claws. "We need decor, we need seating, we need cutlery, platters, goblets, flutes, music, Xuth - we even need an officiate! Traditionally this is done by a clanmother, but in case you haven't noticed the two barking Argonians handing out the work orders over the past week, we do not have this 'clan-luxury', so we'll need someone else."
Another drink. "And before you start questioning spending surplus investments on something like this, my third thought revolves around the opportunity that this ceremony has presented for us. Our happy couple have chosen the locale of one of the above ground roots of that colossal tree-house Elden Root. Though they wish to have the Blue be in attendance of majority, you better believe that there are going to be droves of bosmer hanging around trying to get some kind of contact high from our festivities. While we do not want them disrupting (at all) our client's special Right of Claiming, we are going to take advantage of their moth-to-flame proximity with our network of merchandise. We'll keep them busy away from the ceremony, and more importantly, introduce a brand new market to our wares, including our special Blue product."
"If we pull this off, not only do we show a shining, adamant respect to our company as a whole while others look onto us as two fine associates unite under a beautiful ceremony, but we might even end up netting a profit in our River."
