So, I evidently need to supply a backstory to prove my bona fides to my new guildmates. Or so my back channel contacts informed me when attempting to join this company. Very well...
I could tell you the basics, of course. I'm an Altmer, born into a noble family in Auridon that was reasonably high, but not quite so high as they liked to think. They were shipping magnates, and bought themselves into to royal line centuries ago. Personally, I think "shipping magnates" was actually code for "pirates who interbred with Maomer," but either way, my family was never above some clandestine shipping money on the side. Smuggling, through proxies, so they seldom got their hands dirty.
But concise and precise is where I shine. I could wax eloquent for hours about the delicate game my family taught me to present a veneer of propriety, while working an angle in the background. That ability to wax eloquent is a main reason I applied to your diplomatic wing, along with my contacts throughout Tamriel at ports and in branches of government, waiting for bribes or blackmail or carousing over drinks.
But you will be my peers, and thus I will drop the flowery talk. My family was part of the Veiled Heritance. They fled, and brought us to ruins. Worse, they made me ashamed of who they are, and what my background is. So, I burn my tainted birthright, with their thoughtless racism, and become something new.
So I will join this, the Blue Skooma Company. You are talented, and ambitious. I appreciate both of those things. Your company is largely Khajit, and it pleases me to spite my family by openly allying with a Khajit outfit. I can, in my own way, rebuild my family name to something *I'm* proud of, and do it by exercising the words that have always been my weapon, and I can bring as much shame to my family as they brought to me.
Let's make some money, pull some high level political strings, and watch the Veiled Heritance burn.

I play as I get a chance, which is a lot some week-ends and week nights, and not as much other nights, as my wife is due to have a our first this July. In game, I have quite a bit of clothing, woodworking, and provisioning researched, and always like to help out guildies.
