BACKGROUND

Blue Skooma Company was formed by a clan of Khajiit, through trial and error they have invented a unique form of Skooma using a secret substance that this one has been unable to discover. This one has laid eyes on the product but is hesitant to trial it. It is a very bright blue... almost mystical like it is from another realm. This is the true purpose of their existence.

They operate many other businesses and are seen to trade as normal, but this is just a front to their highly illegal activities.

NOTES

* A caravan embarked carrying the "product" and wares it destination, is Skywatch
* Mo'jahi killed an Imperial Inspector and now the Company is threatened.
* Mo'jahi has been banished from the company, and the warehouse destroyed, Qa'han on the boat with product set on fire with Ri'sari, presumed dead most likely not
* Ri'saari has formed those loyal to him a clan and they intend to return to Elsweyr. Ri'saari had some hidden staches of product that he will sell to pay for the Clan's passage. He is poor now, and vulnerable to the authorities and the new enemies he has created.
* Sa'halaa produced a weapon given to the auctioneer that was clearly the workmanship of Qa'han, and newly forged, this one must try to get word to Ri'saari, Khajiit is sure that Qa'han lives and is associated with the Gnarlus, a goblin
*Money is raised and the soon to be clan travels to Reaper's March to meet with the Clan-Mother. Things do not go well, Ri'saari resorts to threatening the clan mother in desperation resulting in nearly all those who followed him to turn against him, except this one - Khajiit will stick with Ri'saari no matter where that path leads.
* A spy has infiltrated the forming clan, Gnarlus the Goblin. This one kicks himself for not suspecting that John Wolf was an instigator of this posing as his 'master'brought him among us. This one suspected but was too late with his warning to Ri'saari. Khajiit knows he will pay dearly for his failure. While this one's attentions were captivated by Ra'zacc, the Goblin managed to endear himself on the others and he was readily accepted to our group. This was the work of Qa'han.
*Ri'saari was refused by the Clan Mother the right to lead the clan, this one allowed himself to being put in place as a puppet to no avail. Qa'han stepped forward and took the leadership unanimously. Sylvaswift is shamed he has failed in his mission and lost the clan to Qa'han, Qa'han and his spy are as good as dead. This one has been ordered by Ri'saari not to harm any, and so this one will wait - he will bide his time.

New Mission

*Before this one pays for his failure with his life, he will end Qa'han's and the goblin. This one swears it!
This one finds himself redeemed by the skin of his fangs today, Ri'saari is back with a plan. We will force the Clan Mother to denounce the lizard, by any means necessary. An opportunity to gain Ri'sari's trust, this one will prepare himself to do whatever is required, despite how distasteful Khajiit finds the task. This one will employ his talent for lies and delusion of others for this next phase.

Sylvaswift could almost not contain his joy, saved by the skin of his fangs, Ri'sari's plan was successful and the beginning of a new enterprise has begun.

Excitedly he pulls out a new piece of parchment and begins to scrawl down some new notes. The black Khajiit is pleased, he will have what he has worked so hard for after all.

As he writes his lust for revenge against Qa' han subsides, unless he complicates things further and threatens Sylva's mission further he will grant him his life...

Side Mission Notes

Find out who to payoff on the docks and local authorities, so merchants can begin their trading. COMPLETE

Tasks

* Find a meeting place separate from the others where only the secrets will meet and talk, this is important since Viv's report today, COMPLETE

* Discover who among us is truly to be trusted, too many new faces for this one to relax, Maddisynn and Sumar are best for this role, both are able and willing most likely to gain knowledge through intimacy. This one knows Maddisynn is already a worker of pleasure, Khajiit will speak with Sumar and see if he is willing to use his looks and charms in the service of the secrets.Complete

This one thinks Maddisynn is now more for this duty, unsure of Sumar commitment to task, seems he has issues from his past that may interfere with success with a Mark, as an Black Widow this one is sure he is more suited for success. He can work with Ky'ora once she returns from her latest mission. NO LONGER A WORKER, PREGNANT WITH RISARI'S CHILD

* Plant a spy within Qa'han's mob asap (this one will draw from his network for this task to be sure of trustworthiness)COMPLETE

This one met with Sumar and El'ena in the Stalker's new headquarters. Not surprisingly Sumar had already scouted the town and found this place. He has been very active using his natural charms, his motive so far are clean and this one has no cause for concern at present. Ri'sari was the one to send Sumar to address J'vani, this one is pleased he was not freelancing, Khajiit will not tolerate freelancing among his workers. Vinavia will be made an example of at the next meeting if she is unable to explain her actions to this one convincingly.

Today I found him at the docks conversing with the wood mer, Milo, immediately this one smelled a rat, but Sumar assures this one Milo would speak to Sylvaswift personally except Khajiit scares him. This one liked that little piece of information.

Sumar has been revealing himself to this one more and more, this one believes he has more he wishes to share in time. This one will take the time to draw these things from him. Khajiit has high hopes for this one, perhaps with his personal dealings outside the clan.

El'ena is keen to put her hand to a mission, this one will find her things to do, some tests. Until she has proven herself worthy of this one's trust she will remain outside his circle of trust. As will all those that are sent to him.

Amothien is our newest member to the ranks, and has proven themselves good so far for acquiring rare items. They are yet to meet with Ri'sari. This one is continually frustrated in his efforts to get closer to him, but controlling the rabble that continually seek his attention this one will ensure that only a few will gain his focus.

This one is pleased to have been named "Favoured", unsure yet what it means to Ri'sari, it could be an empty gesture, only time will tell. This one has been given Khajiit Armour, so plain and lacking style, this one will comply and wear it consoled by the knowledge it helps secure his status in the clan

This one has noticed Kiraya's absence of late, Ri'sari has said nothing and this one is not in the position of asking... yet

This one came back from business north of Woodhearth with everything to do with the Clan & The Broken has changed and in disarray. Sumar was witness to the whole thing and will fill in Sylvaswift later. It seems the Clan and the Broken are to share the same house. The Clan Mother was killed by the Argonian, Rune-Claw. This one is confused, the Clan once again is thrown into chaos and Ri'sari's followers are left bewildered. They are currently amused and in awe of the fancy new building, Pah! Rats and Thalmor is all this one could see.

Ni'saba has been named Clan-Mother also, a kitten and whore - Khajiit believes that while he was away the wizard has cast an enchantment upon the town, or perhaps it was that strange one, Ansaari's doing. This one feels like he is stuck in some bad dream that makes no sense.

Sumar is becoming Khajiits most trusted friend, El'ena is upset by this, Sylva sees but cannot change who he is; this one likes the girl but hates the the devil within her. This one is concerned that he grows soft, K'hai and all this clan living has been Sylvaswift's undoing, yes?

Khajiit showed them the place El'ena found in Woodhearth, this one has chosen to move in there, he refuses to live among the Thalmor and the Broken in the Manor. This one does not know where Ri'sari has gone and no longer cares. Sylva has dropped the package off to his Alchemist associate, and this one has every confidence that she will not fail him. Sylvaswift will discover the secret ingredient and he can be gone from here.

Khajiit will ask Maddisynn if she wishes to move here, she can use the place for the entertaining of her clients. This one will ask her if she will work for Khajiit. K'hai will join us here soon and will work alongside her.

Ri'sari give the Sugar Claw Stalkers a task:

Tryynity wrote
Ri'sari approached Sylvaswift in the middle of a Stalker meeting at the Tavern and spoke with him in confidence.

"This one believes the coin paid for the Clan Mother is not real," Ri'sari said in a hushed voice.
"Oh? What do you suppose we do about this?"
"We need to know the truth, either way Kazzah holds the key to the vault in which the Merchants hold their coin." A sly grin slid across the leader's face.
"This one understands your meaning."
Sylvaswift bowed, as was his custom, as the Clan Leader departed and then padded back to his trusted brethren and relayed the message Ri'sari had just given to him.

Sylvaswift returned to his assembled Stalker's and relayed the news to his brethren.

"Ri'sari has given us a task. Tomorrow at the Clan Mother's funeral you are to get around the ones attending and see what you can learn about the coin paid for the Clan Mother's release - Ri'sari believes it to be false. See what you can find out, information, proof, anything that can reveal the truth. Each of you have your contacts, seek them out those that you trust." Sylvaswift clenched his fist in the space in front of him. "They will pay, one way or another, this much I promise."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next day the Sugar Claw Clan and the Broken Bottle Merchants gathered in Woodhearth to attend the funeral of the slain Clan Mother. The Stalkers did as they were bid, & it occurred to Sylvaswift it was an opportune time to search the Manor while everyone was absent.

He wandered casually over to ((Ansaari's alt)) & whispered, "I will wait until the funeral begins and then I will slip away and go back to the Manor and search it, there is sure to be some kind of clue or piece of evidence that can prove Ri'sari's claim." ((Alt)) nodded subtly and Sylvaswift returned to eavesdropping on the crowd.

When the full numbers had arrived at the funeral location Ri'sari began to address those gathered and asked for anyone who had words to speak for the Clan Mother, to come forward and speak. Sylvaswift saw his chance at this moment and snuck away and ran quickly back to the Manor.

He picked the lock on the side door and began to search room by room, he was swift, methodical and very thorough. The first few rooms yielded nothing, there were many crates and barrels stacked in the lower rooms but nothing that looked out of the ordinary or suspicious. He rifled through paperwork, books on shelves and cupboards and still nothing. He had almost given up hope when he noticed an unusual sack on the lower shelf of a cupboard stuff behind some plain sacks. Sylva's senses peaked immediately and he bent down and retrieved it from its hiding spot. He examined the bag closely, it was made of a strange material, one he had not seen before, there was a intricate pattern that swirled around it, etched in an unfamiliar fashion. It was tied tightly at the top with a three-stranded gold cord. He loosed the cord and peered within. The substance inside was unusual in texture and gave off a strange odour. Sylva was sure it was something important. He quickly retied the cord and placed the sack behind his leather breastplate for safe keeping.

As he pondered the thought of searching the remainder of the Manor he heard the sound of a key being used on the front door. This was Sylva's cue to leave, he padded quietly out the door and down a passage which lead to an outer door. Quickly he opened the door and ran outside and along the stone verandah, across the grass and down the bank into the stream below the bridge and headed back to the funeral.

He hoped he had found something of use to Ri'sari.

Later, he showed the bag he had found to Sumar who examined it closely, Sumar was an alchemist and was able to identify the materials as Alchemy Agents used for trickery and illusion.

Sylvaswift beamed at his comrade. "This is good news, I will store this somewhere safe and return to the Manor for the gathering and wake. If possible search the remainder of the house, since we know now what we are possibly looking for. With your experience old friend, you are the best for this, yes?" The dark elf nodded and kicked his horse into a canter and headed to the Manor House, while Sylvaswift went to kitchen of his friend's place in Woodhearth and stored the bag in a small ceramic pot and then placed it inside a large basket and covered it will cloths. Contented it was safe he joined the others at the party.

Rescue Mission

Kazzah was captured by the Thalmor, and taken to the Manor - now their Embassy. What he did this time I do not know. He is becoming a liability that may need to be dealt with soon.

After scouting the premises this one found where he was most likely to be kept and set his best, Sumar, to the task of breaking him out. He was successful, and Kazzah was returned to us, though not without cost. Sumar suffered some kind of effect or injury which left him in such a point of exhaustion that he was barely living. Perhaps it was the ward on the lock/door, designed to render any unwanted intruder helpless until discovered and dealt with. Kazzah was no help when questioned.

Sumar and Kazzah have yet to wake, but are kept safely within the confines of the now not-so-secret Stalker Den.

A new arrival on the scene today, an old face from the Company turned up in Woodhearth, a female vampire named Aiidaan.

Vinavia spoke of some dangerous cult in the area, a threat to all existence she claims. Having no experience in these matters, Khajiit has introduced her to this one's latest ally, PaigeFault, a fascinating person although extremely volatile and dangerous this one sees a use for one such as this.

Paige has agreed to be in this one's service under the provision that her true identity be kept a secret, and she is provided regularly with blood. She is not a vampire, which is puzzling because she claims she needs this as a drink - for the iron.

Kazzah's Mystery Box :

This one went down to the docks tonight to speak with the Khajiit named Dar'Atribi, a darkly coloured male of thinner build than this one. There were many patrolling Woodhearth guards and Thalmor about. The Thalmor have indeed become a huge pain in the tail, however soon they will be no longer a concern as the clan prepares to move locations to Reaper's March, in particular a town called Sren'jo.

Khajiit met with Dar'Atribi and asked him nicely to hand over the package for Kazzah but he has refused and chosen the more difficult path. This one will speak with Ky'ora in the early morn and put her to the task, Khajiit will leave it up to her judgement in how she wishes to part the foolish one from his possession.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kyora accepted the job willingly, this one had no doubts that she would. She reported back that she was unable to locate the one in question so far, but she has returned to the ship where he frequents and she lies in wait for him there.

Kyora failed to locate Atrabi. Instead Atrabi contacted this one, claiming to know that Ja'Hazzak was indeed Kazzah. This one will no longer trouble himself with this matter. He will leave Kazzah to sort his own problems from now on. He is more trouble than he is worth

Things have been busy, we now find ourselves in in Sren'Ja. Kálistia has contacted this one, she has discovered the secret ingredient at last. She works still on the one of Mo'haji's samples. Khajiit has yet to give the other sample to Ri'sari. He waits undecided if he will bother or not.

This one's mission is complete. Khajiit will begin to look for new opportunities. Ri'sari's organisation is a dead end and this one sees no future benefit continuing with this association.

Sylvaswift is free to move on now, if he chooses.

This one has a new associate by the name of Sumar . A curious thing Khajiit has discovered, this person's name disappears by some strange enchantment. This new associate has unusual abilities that make this thing appear not so strange. A very useful asset indeed, this one includes him as one of his own but has yet to bring up the subject with him. He appears to have all the qualities this one seeks in an associate and indeed more.

Khajiit has made the decision to keep him close, if this one chooses to leave he will ask if he will follow. From herein he will be known as S.

Kyora has followed at a distance with us to Reaper's March and stays close.
Kyerra has been sent to bring K'hai close.
Kálistia has returned to the Mages Guild in Auridon, her contract is full-filled and this one releases her from his service.

The Stalkers are few in numbers, this one will feel better when his trusted are within reach. The Thalmor are angered against Ri'sari, he has slighted them too many times to walk away freely this time.

Something big is about to happen, this one feels it in his bones.

Sylvaswift sat down and brushed what looked like years of accumulated dust from the top of an old wooden desk. He placed upon it an ordinary looking wooden box and lifted its lid. Inside was full of parchments which he had scrawled many notes on. With a clawed hand he reached in and withdrew them. Scanning each, one by one he read back over what he had written; this was something he rarely did. But so was getting involved on a personal level, and yet he had, if he was honest with himself - and he was. It had seemed like a lifetime ago that this phase of his life had started.

Each page he read conjured up a different memory, none were truly bad, most were on some level pleasant even. It was almost hard to do what he did next... crumpling them into one last ball he cast it into the fire. The flame flared consuming the offering readily. It was time to move on. News had reached his ears this day that the Thalmor were on their way, that little creature had given their whereabouts away. Once again the clan would possibly be forced to move on. Sylvaswift had nothing to fear of the Thalmor his connections spanned even to their ranks. He held many a strings, the best ones ensnared important or powerful figures. The only risk to himself was assassination, and even then they had to find him. He was always careful about leaving a trail. No one knew anything about him, oh they thought they did, but no-one really did because Sylvaswift chose it to be that way. His name was not even real. He chuckled as he thought upon this. He had no name, he was only known as cat. Anieran had given him a name, but he chose that to be the first of many names that would adopt.

The black Khajiit sighed loudly as the flames died back to an even glow that danced along the logs. The last year of his life lay as shriveled gray flakes of ash, soon blended with the other burnt remains left untouched by the fires insatiable appetite.

Sumar had agreed to follow him if he chose to leave, he was glad of that. Kyora and the others were close by, all watching. He would probably know before the others when the Thalmor arrived, this could prove to be a valuable advantage.

Sylvaswift sat semi-alone in the cold silence of night, Sumar slept peacefully beside him having injected himself with his drugs. It had been a harrowing day, the Thalmor came, only two, but neither of them left. Sumar killed the first assassin inside on the steps of the Clan House and Ri'sari made an example of the second on the stone steps out the front. They had come seeking Ri'sari's life but took with them Ja'amore's instead. There was no justice in life, Sylva was well aware of this and Ja'amore's death proved it, for justice would have seen Ri'sari fall. The black Khajiit felt the loss of the little master more strongly than he'd felt loss in a long time, he had grown so very soft - that had to be remedied.

You failed him his mind whispered
"No!" Sylva muttered aloud.
Sylvaswift the great allowed an assassin to penetrate the confines of the clan.
"This is not true, I am not responsible for this, it was the guards who failed. Not I."
Failure!Rid Tamriel of one more piece of garbage tonight.Do it,

Sylvaswift growled and fled the room. Charging down the stairs he made his way to his horse grabbing a headstall on the way. He caught him easily and threw on the headstall roughly. In one smooth movement he swung up onto his back and rode out of the town, into the night - anywhere but here.

He should have taken Sumar up on his offer of something stronger than wine to dampen the effects of the day's horrors. He had refused, he saw drugs as a master of a different kind, but here he was controlled anyway. Perhaps he had fooled himself, into believing he had no master all these years.

He kicked his horse into a flat-out gallop, tempting fate, perhaps he would fall and break his neck, faster he urged. Heavy hooves pounded along rain dampened soil, he headed no where in particular - just away.

Sylvaswift rode for hours before his emotions came back under control and he turned and headed back to town, home. A narrow escape for him, normally it would have not gone that far so easily. He was normally adept at subduing them, but like he had already admitted to himself that he had grown soft. He had been letting people matter , his mind light travelled straight to Sumar.

Earlier he had hugged the man, even allowing him to fall asleep in his arms. If his associates saw him now what would they think of him? He would lose all respect in their eyes. Did that matter? These were the things he pondered as he rode back home. Home, he had never used that term before, and he wasn't sure yet he liked it. Sylva felt more strongly even now, than the days prior, it was time to move on - perhaps. Blue Skooma would make him incredibly wealthy now he had the receipe, he still had control in all the right places, perhaps he could relax now, and he had achieved a lot in his lifetime, at least the lifetime which had begun from the day of his freedom.

The sun peeped over the housetops of Sren'ja when he finally arrived back in town. He had gone a long way and his horse was exhausted and sweaty. He paid the stable hand a gold coin to see to him and headed up to the Clan House. All the regulars greeted him warmly, of course they did, he was Favoured of Ri’sari, the most favoured Sylva often said but of course, that was just his opinion of the situation. He drifted into the kitchen to find something to eat and kept an eye out for Sumar the whole time he stayed up in the Clan House, but he didn’t turn up. A tiny part of him was saddened by this. He busied himself with duties and idle chatter until it was time for the ceremony, Gnarlus had arranged some kind of ritual to occur with Ja'amore's remains. The clan wanted to pay their respects, Sylva did not understand the purpose of a funeral, once dead it was too late to say anything, the dead could not hear or care - they were dead. Still he did not wish to go, his own emotions still raw and barely under control, but go he did.

A very large crowd gathered, Sylva noted the lack of Ri'sari's presence. Hah! Sylva thought, weak with grief , he supposed. The ceremony began but he paid little attention to words spoken or gestures of grief made, he tried very, very hard to ignore the sadness around him, it reminded him of his own. He worked extremely hard at withdrawing, Sumar was still nowhere around to keep him present, and so it would be easy. Sylva kept himself a distance from the others; he would be there but not there. He did well, suffering the duration of ceremony relatively easily, up until the visions appeared that is, visions of Ja'amore. The creature Gnarlus had somehow caused some kind of magical apparitions; visions of Ja'amore's life had it gone differently the day before.

He saw, Ja'amore, addressing the clan with Kazzah and himself beside him. In this scene Ri'sari was dead, how it should have been. Another scene appeared, Ja'amore swearing revenge on behalf of his dead father, then an assortment of other scenes depicting various important things of his life. Sylva stopped looking when he saw Ja'amore making love for the first time, it reminded him of his first time, the innocence, and joy at being with someone so close like that... he would never have that. Something inside the black Khajiit snapped right then, he stood and left the crowd. A fight had broken out but he paid no attention to it, he had to go - again. Rawl'kha yes, that would do nicely, women, mead, whatever he desired, no clan, no death, just sex, and more sex. He would not return until he was fully sated.

Exhausted and a little hung over Sylvaswift stared up at the ceiling of his room, his two latest whores slept soundly beside him. For nearly a week he had been in Rawl'kha, every moment of that was filled with whores or booze, sometimes both. Sylvaswift felt much better than when he first arrived, his whoring had done the trick as he new it would, but as he lay there in the quiet of early morning new and foreign feelings began to surface. He didn't know what it was but suddenly he found himself missing Sren'ja and the friends he had made there. Sylva chuckled, friends, who would have thought he'd ever have friends...family, no doubt about it, Sylvaswift had gone soft and he was pining for home.

This was now one of those life defining moments, the jet black Khajiit had a choice to make now, go back or leave forever.

Sylvaswift wandered aimlessly around Rawl'kha market place, his mind mulling over recent news delivered by Khai. Kyora had gone and made herself a part of the clan and aligned herself with the companions, a desperate and futile attempt to gain Ri'sari's protection he imagined - a minor annoyance at best. Most troubling was the report that Sumar was missing, no one had seen or heard from him since the morning after Ja'amore's death. This weighed heavily upon Sylvaswift, he had been so consumed with his own struggles he'd left Sren'ja without a so much as a 'see you later', perhaps his friend had gone looking for him and found trouble. Neck deep in whores and booze he hadn't given him a second thought.

Sylva had opened up his heart just a crack but it was enough to make him vulnerable. He felt the loss of Ja'amore more than he would have expected, Sumar was much more than that. The black Khajiit called him brother, but he had not acted like a brother, or even a friend. Sylvaswift was beginning to face that he may be even more than that. His week with the whores had left him physically sated but he found after it all he was feeling empty - he had come to realise that, the space in his life is where the clan and Sumar now fit. Only after the grief dissipated did he begin to reflect upon what he had found in his newfound clan, he had thought long and hard and it was those good things, and Sumar, that made him want to return.

Now, what was he going back to ... more bad news?

Sylva arrived back in Sren'ja to find Risari leading a gathering of people, clan members he recognised and some new faces he didn’t. It appeared Ri'sari was leading a guided tour of the town - strange. As he neared he heard Ri'sari speak of repairs and workers, and he understood immediately what the crafty cat was up to - he renovating the town with free labour. Sylva chuckled as he scanned the area seeking out Sumar. He had hoped that by the time he returned to the town, Sumar would have also - but Sylva could not see him.

The black Khajiit hung back, not wanting to get involved in doing any labour, free or paid. He would put his time to searching for Sumar or at least for clues to his whereabouts, he dismounted his horse and set it free to graze.

He first checked out Sumar's digs, and found nothing; even his bag of goodies was gone. This lead Sylva to believe that perhaps he had left... maybe Ja'amore's death had hit the dark elf harder than Sylva realised, especially after his confession to him a few days earlier, it could have struck him a lot deeper given those facts.

Sylva went back outside, a horrible tight feeling in his neck, he searched for footprints, there were many but none distinguishable as Sumar's, given that the tricky mer seemed to be able to just vanish into thin air at a whim, Sylva knew it was probably pointless searching for tracks. Instead, he headed out of town, why, he did not really know, it just seemed like he should be doing something – looking, at least.
