Age: Appears middle-twenties.
Race: Khajiit (Cathay)
Flair:
She is a Cathay, though markedly slimmer and shorter. There’s some speculation just looking at her, about whether Secunda was perhaps not fully waxing; peeking beneath all that armor would show, however, that she is just as sturdy and athletic as her larger brothers and sisters, though her round eyes and kind, unassuming face does her no credit in a job where intimidation is often the rule of thumb. Beneath the unassuming demeanor, however, is a body both solid and obviously well-defined, a strength she maintains through regular training with little fat to waste.
She is a tawny, reddish brown, with a calico patterning.
Rumors (General Knowledge):
[/b]
- J’vani appeared just at the height of the split between the Broken Bottle merchant company and the Sugar-Claw Clan. She was, and some speculate still is, Qa’han’s most trusted and personal advisor. She has also been observed speaking with Ri'sari in a formal manner, although these conversations seem few and far between and mostly seem to involve the Clan-Mother.
- She can often be observed meditating, training, running, and exercising in general. She talks deeply about philosophy, when asked to do so.
- Although she is not an official part of the Sugar-Claw Clan, she acts as a stand-in for Ni’Saba-Dar, the Clan Mother, who is missing.
- She speaks in the dialect of a Khajiiti citizen of Dune, feigning ignorance of all things, to turn conversations subtly in the direction she wishes them to lead. She has never been observed speaking in a more educated manner, and seems to prefer the degenerate linguistic form.
- Although very few people have seen her fire temper unleashed, one of these, Kazzah, nearly lost his hand to the raging, and vengeful, khajiit.

Background:
Those closest to J’vani know her secrets.
History
The Noble Scion
J’vani is the daughter of Riona-dar, a Clan-Mother of the formerly-powerful Gold-Sand Clan of northern Elsweyr, and she carries with her the history and secrets of Mefala; this is a singular distinction she plans to pass to the Sugar-Claw clan mother, Ni’Saba, as her own clan was devastated by the Flu, leading to her later monastic existence.
The Fighting Monastic
J'vani is a Ri’datta Riddle’Thar devotee, and over the course of her monastic existence she has learned the use of heavy plate and various long and short arms martial arts. Most of her adolescent life was spent in this manner, educated not only in fighting but in many other aspects of lay-leadership and military studies.

Together, these two aspects of J’vani make her an invaluable advisor not only on military, but also domestic matters and clan matters. She is a diplomat and a courtier, a captain and a priestess, flexible and adaptable, though often times she fails to embody the best traits of every single one of these things; perhaps, in the end, she can claim only flexibility, wisdom, and an uncanny ability to keep her ears to the ground.
Notable Items
- "Twin-Catch" - J'vani wears this dagger on her belt. It is curved, double bladed, and it is part of an iconic, matched set which used to belong to Qa'Han.
- ”Riona’s Grasp” – Upon J’vani’s otherwise plain sword, the grip is unique. Worn and re-wrapped many times, she carries this scrap of her lost mother’s clothing with her throughout her adventures and life.
- ”Ring of Sending” – This ring, appearing to be a copper band, allows J’vani to pass small slips of paper back and forth from similarly-enchanted rings, facilitating communication across distance. She wears it upon a small chain around her neck.
