((OOC disclaimer: This thread is going to be less an interactive story and more a chronicle of the various personalities Ansaari has thus far displayed for others to know of and perhaps some hints to secrets that have yet to be revealed in game ;) ))
**A journal is found, clearly a work in progress. The writing in the journal is written so dryly and concisely that when reading it one can hear an Attenborough-esque voice in their head. Something akin to an enchantment seems to be laid upon the tome where one feels free to read, but not remove the book from where it lays**
Subject: A Khajiiti female who goes by the name "Ansaari" If this is her true name, a name given her after her mind shattered, or some sort of amalgam of the names her various personalities concocted remains to be seen.
The subject first came to my attention some years ago, likely shortly after she escaped, or was released, from her oft mentioned, oft denied "master" whom is believed to be the Daedric Prince known as Sheogorath. Though getting her to name that master for confirmation is akin to convincing the green lady to cheat on her destined husband. Her past before "escape" is even harder to pin down, as I have yet to catch her speaking of it, nor of how long she was in captivity.
Through many hours of observation, I have observed that the "core" personality of Ansaari is actually many many personalities, acting in concert towards common cause, though the personality in charge at any given time seems to shift almost at random. This is most obvious when she is in the midst of one of her giggling fits, whereby her ears are in constant motion, listening to many percieved voices, even when no other sound is present.
Addendum: Further observation has revealed that, though random, the "Ansaari" that is in charge at any one time is often the most appropriate for the situation that she finds herself in. There may be a deeper, hidden, intelligence that decides the personality in charge at a given time. The harm that had to be endured to cause such a strange coping mechanism must have been staggering in scope and/or time.
Of these core personalities, the one most often in charge seems to be one I denote as "the child." She seems constantly, insatiably curious, and playful in the extreme. She seems to have little concept of right and wrong, not from lack of knowledge or experience, but a pure lack of understanding of the concept. She also seems to have a short attention span and memory. Often assigning descriptive nicknames to people she knows instead of remembering and using their proper names. This seems to be more a preference for those she likes as opposed to those she does not.
Closely related to, but separate from "the child" is the one I have taken to calling "the trickster" this is the second personality I see commonly in command of Ansaari. This version of the khajiit seems almost as innocent as the child, but is clearly differentiated in the fact that she knows right from wrong, and bends those rules in order to play her pranks. Thus far I have not observed any pranks of a malicious nature. This Ansaari instead seems to prefer to be more annoying than anything, acts such as throwing things at others in a crowd and attempting (unsuccessfully) to pin the blame on others. Perhaps these acts are the child and trickster playing, just as two small children would play with each other?
The third and fourth personalities I have thus far named and noticed I refer to as "the thief" and "the nurturer." These two personalities seem to be active often but usually in the background, causing Ansaari to act without her "lead" personalities even noticing. A prime example of this is Ansaari "stealing" a friends purse from a thief and "accidentally" dropping it where the friend can get their property back. Other examples tend to be Ansaari "finding" things in her pack such as food so that she can eat, as the child personality seems to often forget to get these provisions herself. There seem to be very few occasions where either of these personalities seem to prefer coming to the fore.
**The writing begins to degrade into random doodles of butterflies, horses, and something that could be a bad stick figure Sheogorath**
((to be continued))
