I have really enjoyed having members sit in on our Officer Meetings. I think it makes things easier for everyone the more people know what's going on.

In that vein, I want to propose a small change that could make a big difference. How do you feel about making the Officer's Forum viewable by everyone? Only Officers will be allowed post access, of course. Everyone else can just read. You guys put in so much work here and I think our members might appreciate your efforts more if they could actually see what you are doing. It will also keep people informed as we post some very clarifying things here on occasion.

I can make a Conflict Resolution Forum for dealing with drama that only Officers can see and post in. But, we have had very little of that as of late.

What do you think? Good or bad idea?

I like the idea, having been in guilds as both officer and as member, I know I always appreciated seeing what the officers were up to. I do think there should be a separate forum to use for just officers as well though. For example, the planning for guild events we might want private if we want to set the end goal of a storyline, that way we can keep it a surprise for people for excitement sake. The private forum would be something to have when needed but used rarely.

I think having most things public would be good. But definately drama issues and a few other things should not be public. Bascially anything that could cause discomfort or embarassment for anyone. Also perhaps any big RP plans that would be better as a surprise?

I am actually all for getting members involved in RP plans OOC. I think some have a lot that they could add.

The drama should definitely be taken care of in the Feedback & Complaints forum, though. Anything that makes people uncomfortable or could cause issues like you said.

Yep I see no problem at all - so long as there is somewhere I can bitch about people in private  (wait... can people read this yet? ) LOL jkn ;-)

Makes sense, as long as we still have a forum for managers only in case it is needed. Agree with Sylva!

That was my point, most of what officers do should be viable to all, but we should still have a private forum for rare occasions when we need to discuss things out of public eye.

Completely agree there still should be a private section for Officers to plan on, for example, for the Goblin Hunter event tomorrow, I prefer posting the locations on the forum, but if its visible, it defeats the purpose.

We would just need to be sure and use the private forums as little as possible.

Did this change go ahead? Are these forums public?

It is. Feedback and Complaints is for drama issues. Anyone can post and see their own thread in it, but only Officers can see posts.
