Common Knowledge: A well dressed and well spoken Imperial, carries herself with the confidence and aura of the Colovian and Nibenayan nobility. Mostly polite, but sometimes a bit abrupt to non-Imperials. Helpful and distantly friendly, often useful.

In Livia's Head:

“Take Power where it is offered,” said Castanada, her tutor in the ways of Shadow. He had said this early on, and it was a lesson that did not have to be repeated, not to her.

Livia remembered all the lessons she had learned in the Imperial Court. Behind the decadence and the parties; the drugs and the pleasure slaves; there had been certain people who cultivated Power as others cultivated wine.

Now she smiled as she raised her lips, frothy with fresh black blood, from the neck of the worm assassin. It had become known to her that the followers of the Mother were in Reaper’s March, and she had cultivated Ereni the mad thing to learn who she should approach and how.

Nightblade. Shadow. Poisoner. Mistress of Daggers and Bows and the magics of Destruction.

Vampire.

Just another tool. Later, when she’d gleaned this source for all the powers she could she’d visit a simpering priestess of Arkay and have herself “cured”. But only until she needed this particular tool again.

After the Soulburst, when she and the rest of the Rimini were rounded up in the purges of Mannimarco and his gang of necromancers; she’d been frightened – and then sacrificed. But it had all worked out in the end; maybe she should thank old Mannimarco before she eviscerated him. Putting himself under the power of a Daedric Prince had been a mistake. And one she could exploit, she was sure.

That doddering fool, Varen. Had he thought she wouldn’t recognize the former emperor? Now there was someone else she could exploit for what useful knowledge and contacts still remained to him. Abner Tharn and his family still needed to be removed as well, but after all, that was what she was doing in the Aldmeri Domain; seeking her path to glory.

And the others, the fanatics, fighting for this Domain or that Alliance. What were alliances against the might of the Imperial City? Back to Cyrodiil, and if any could be used to help put her on the Throne, what matter the necessity to bow and smile along the way.

In the meantime there were people to cajole and seduce, threaten and slaughter. Half the fun was getting there.
