Name: Rhienn
Age: 22
Race: Bosmer/Wood Elf
Flair: ornaments herself more than is typical for Bosmer (wears jewelry and light makeup)

Rumors: Those that her know her or know of her would tell you that she's outwardly friendly, yet she always plays her cards close to her chest, so her true opinions and general moral stance are often unclear. She tries to solve problems by talking things out before resorting to aggression or violence. When she does resort to violence, she vastly prefers stealth to direct confrontation. Also, other than her archery expertise and general stealthiness, she doesn't act very typically Bosmer.

Background: Her parents were traveling merchants who took her along with them in their travels all over Tamriel. Unfortunately, when Rhienn was still very young, her parents left her at a small inn in northern Cyrodiil one morning and never returned. To this day, she doesn't know what happened to them, although she's long since assumed them dead. The innkeeper felt sorry for her and let her live with his family at the inn, in return for her helping out around the inn. Over time, they started calling her their own. The innkeeper's son, whom she regards as an older brother, was an avid huntsman and he taught her how to use a bow. Because she spent so much time abroad and her birth parents had never been particularly devoted to the green, she actually knows very little about Bosmer culture, but she's recently grown interested in learning more about her heritage.

One day, something happened that would change her life forever. She and her adoptive brother Daryn were on their way home from one of their regularly hunting trips, when everything went wrong.

---

"We're completely surrounded, aren't we?" Rhienn asked in a hushed voice. She knew her brother would be able to see the dark shapes moving in the woods as well as she did. Humanoid shapes, so most likely bandits setting up for an ambush.

"Afraid so, little sister," Daryn replied at equal volume.

"What do we do?" Rhienn asked, unable to keep the tremor out of her voice, even at a whisper.

"I need you to listen carefully," Daryn said, in that familiar tone he always used while giving instructions. "On my signal, we're going to rush the path behind us and try to break out of their circle before they can stop us. Then, I am going to buy some time while you run away as fast as you possibly can."

"But-"

"We don't have time to argue about this. I love you, little sister. Now, go!"

The plan almost worked. If their attackers hadn't had mages who summoned terrible creatures, if they hadn't tracked Rhienn down and completely overwhelmed her, she might have gotten away. The last thing she heard before losing consciousness was the cold, unfamiliar voice of someone standing above her.

"The girl will have to do. It's a pity we couldn't take them both alive."

---

Rhienn didn't return home to her adopted parents, even after her escape from Coldharbour. Even if she hadn't been concerned for their safety, she couldn't bear to face them. She wrote them one letter, with no forwarding address. "I'm okay, but I'm not coming home. Daryn didn't make it. I'm so sorry; it should have been me."

She's trying to make yet another new life for herself; one in which she is friendly and courteous to all, but close to none. Losing two families was enough for one lifetime. She's dedicated to the cause of the Dominion, largely because she's invested in the future of Cyrodiil and she genuinely believes Queen Ayrenn would do better by the people of Cyrodiil than any of the other contenders for the emperor's throne.
