Bosmer

Newelian stands at 5 feet tall with a petite but muscular frame. Her eyes are green, and she has medium brown, wavy locks. This soft spoken and solitary, but friendly, ranger still looks almost childish in her youth, but her eyes have the depth and wisdom of a much older Bosmer. Her best and most loyal friend in the world is her mare Falulin, who is the only remnant of her former life.

She usually wears dark and weathered leather armour, which is covered in battle scars and repairs. Her bow, Molag's Bane, was self-carved from solid Yew and has accompanied her for so long, it feels like an extension of her arm. She painstakingly crafts her own arrows from the bones of the daedra she has slain, and pre-coats them all in a potent poison to be prepared for her next hunt.


Rumors:

-Is rarely seen without a small, intricately carved wooden pipe which she uses to smoke a very sweet smelling pipeweed

She comes from a small tribe in a very isolated part of the Valenwood, and lived there comfortably and happily with her mother, father and older brother until she was a teenager. She lost her tribe and village in a daedric invasion, during which her family was slaughtered. Newelian managed to slip away with her beloved horse, and never had the heart to return to that area of Valenwood again. For many years, she barely sustained, and as a survival tactic kept mostly hidden, traveling far from roads and mainly at night with only Falulin to keep her company. Had the mare not been there, she would have succumb to her grief and the nightmares that she had been plagued with since the haunting day she lost her family.

She has spent many years and sleepless nights as a ranger, wandering and taking part in small-scale warfare with mainly beasts and daedra on the land. Coming upon dark anchors is a treat she especially covets in her adventures. It has taken her many years of loneliness to begin making more frequent trips into the towns, though she still keeps to herself, too afraid to become attached to anyone. Having had to fend for herself since she was fairly young, she often turned to the plants in the forest for food and medicine. She used to feel remorse for doing it, but has become comfortably defected from the Green Pact now that she is older.

Part 1: The Basics

1. What is your full name?

2. Where and when were you born?
A small, remote village in North Eastern Valenwood

3. Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.)

Father: Endymion - Quiet and never said much, but sang frequently both while alone and to our family. Was fiercely protective of our family and tribe, all men from the village were expected to be warriors and he did it well. He also tended the horses in the village, a skill I inherited from him.

Mother: Ilonwen - Kind, loving and gentle, she was very soft spoken and fair featured. Sister of the village Apothecary, she possessed lots of knowledge of plants and natural remedies, but had no occupation. Even though I did not share her aptitude, she was ever patient and persistent in make sure I knew at least the basics.

4. Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?
Elisdell, a brother 6 years older than me. He was very popular and well liked in the tribe, and was admired for his skill with a dagger. Like my mother and aunt, he was proficient as an apothecary and would likely have taken my aunt's place one day.

5. Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people.
I lead more of a nomadic lifestyle, not calling any particular place home. I have stayed in Valenwood my entire life, though recently have stayed near Marbruk and Woodhearth as they are my typical supply stops. I travel and live only with Falulin, my ever faithful mare and companion.

6. What is your occupation?
Ranger and Daedra Hunter. I can make potent poisons and basic potions, but I do not sell them.

7. Write a full physical description of yourself. You might want to consider factors such as: height, weight, race, hair and eye color, style of dress, and any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing marks.

Style of dress: I'm usually seen in my dark and beat-up leathers, but I have one simple green and cream dress with gold trim that I will put on if I mean to spend any good length of time in the city. I wear a ring, that my mother gave me as a child, on my left pinky finger. It used to fit on my thumb, but as I have gotten older it came to only fit my smallest finger. It is simple and copper, but one of my most prized possessions. I do not remove it.
Marks: Tribal scarification on my chest, and down the sides of my torso and legs. This was tradition in our tribe when we came of age, a tradition I adhered to with honour, though had difficulty performing myself.
Accent: For a Bosmer, my accent is very toned down. I could be mistaken for another race if going by my voice alone.

8. To which social class do you belong?
Social classes did not exist in our village, and as a vagabond I do not spend enough time immersed in society to belong to any class of them.

9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?
I rarely sleep well enough to be at my full alertness and potential, because I have been plagued with nightmares since I was a teenager. I utilize stealth and poisons as much as possible, because I am very small and therefore less powerful than many of my enemies.

Quiet and soft, more like my fathers than my mothers, who had a very feminine voice. I inherited my father's singing voice

I smoke, and a lot. I have managed over the years to locate the pipeweed that was common in our village and grow several wild patches in areas I travel frequently. Because of this, I always have a sweet scented and relaxing taste of home.

Part 2: Growing Up[/color]

15. How would you describe your childhood in general?
Happy. Very comfortable and peaceful for many years. As a teenager, my life was tragic, dangerous and tumultuous.

My father singing one of my favourite lullabys to me:

19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
From my parents, I learned how to tend horses, basic potion/remedy making and the basics of archery. When I no longer had them, I had to learn to hunt and provide for myself. I learned most of my skills in the wild, and only really flourished in alchemy when I began using fresh plants.

20. While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.
My father was always my rolemodel. He was a moral, and just man but was very kind. He carried such a presence that he did not need to speak much, and his connection with animals (namely horses) was profound.

21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?
I was always very close with my family, especially my father.

22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
the village horsemaster, like my father

23. As a child, what were your favorite activities?
I had always enjoyed riding horses, as long as I can remember. I was fond of swimming, and still am. When I began learning to shoot a bow, when I was twelve, I immediately took a keen liking to it.

24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?
Shy, reserved and quiet

25. As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like?
Though I was not popular, I was not disliked by anyone in the village. I had one close friend, Lareniyen, but we mostly kept to ourselves. We were the same age, met very young and did everything together growing up.

26. When and with whom was your first kiss?
I have never kissed anyone romantically

27. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?
I am still a virgin

I was given my first bow on my twelfth birthday, and learned quickly I had an aptitude for it. While I enjoyed shooting, it became a skill that was essential to my survival soon after learning it.

The annihilation of my village, tribe and family by daedric forces.

My father

Surviving from the young age of thirteen in the wild, entirely by myself.

Sexuality was never hidden or shamed in our village, so I am not uncomfortable around it. However, the thought of myself having sex makes me quite nervous, albeit very curious.

I have slain many beasts and daedra, though would have a difficult time killing another human unless in self-defense

To take away from someone their family, either by distance or by death.

I tend to look unfavourably upon those who would practice daedric magic, and it would take me a while to look past it and become someone's friend

I would put my life on the line to save my horse Falulin. She is the only family I have left, and I will never allow her to be taken from me with as little fight as the rest of my family.

I treat everyone politely, but tend to keep acquaintances at a distance. When I become more comfortable with someone, I am willing to give more information about myself and my past.

The most important person in my life, currently, is myself. As I have only had myself to rely on and keep me company over these many years. I have not yet gotten close enough to anyone for them to be as important.

Verymas Telvanni - a friend I met in the early days of knowing the Sugarclaws Clan. He is a competent healer and savvy merchant, who will indulge in dance, drink and pipeweed with me. I've discovered that we have a bit in common, and find that he is the first person in a long time to bring a smile to my face with their presence.
Thorthil- A new acquaintance who I've seen around Woodhearth. Seems nice enough but is quiet and keeps somewhat to himself.
Elsynia Nightwind- Also a new acquaintance. Is very friendly and welcoming, she is one of the few people I can have a pleasant conversation with though we do not know much about one another, and often see one another only in passing.

I am single

I do not know that I have ever been in love before

59. What do you look for in a potential lover?
Someone who is warm and kind, with a good sense of humour and good morality. It needs to be someone who I know can protect themselves, as I could not bear to lose someone else who is in my heart. Someone who is passionate about what they love, and who is a romantic.

Would still be very close with them, if they were still alive.

I have not yet started my own family. I have always been afraid to, though am open to the idea should I find someone who is able to help me through my fears and insecurities.

No I do not. I am too introverted and much rather enjoy the company of smaller groups of people. If I do attend a large social event, I will often keep to myself.

Crafting arrows for my bow, using the bones of slain daedra. Riding my horse, going for swims, and people watching.

I love to discover new delicious combinations of the roots and greens I gather with new kinds of hunted meats. I've become quite a cook over the years, with not much better to do.

I have a special love for music

76. Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? If so, why? Do you want to quit?
I smoke pipeweed very frequently, and do not intend to stop. I smoke because it relaxes me, as well as gives me a scent and taste of home. It is one of the few things that has stayed with me.

77. How do you spend a typical Saturday night?
Lately, I have been spending it at auctions and with a friend.

78. What makes you laugh?
Irony, and good wit.

79. What, if anything, shocks or offends you?
People living with Daedra as pets has been something that has shocked me immensely as I assimilated the culture of others.

80. What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself?
I tend to go hunting, or foraging if I cannot sleep. Sometimes, however, I will go for a walk along a particularly scenic route.

Solitude

I usually always have a plan, I leave very little to spontaneity.

83. What are your pet peeves?
High energy or in your face type people, and loud, persistent noises.

84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you. How do you feel when this routine is disrupted?
Wake up from what is usually far too little sleep, forage for eggs, roots and wild vegetables to eat, then pack Falulin up. Spend most of the day traveling around collecting plants and other materials that I can sell or trade, while also trying to get gather what I can for supper. Cook a decent meal for myself, then consider spending time in town. I am very flexible when it comes to my schedule, so long as I have a full belly and some gold in my pocket.

Being able to survive on my own, and provide myself with all I need to live.

That I have difficulty accepting help from and trusting others.

I would take away the nightmares.

Good at: Archery, remaining stealthy and unseen, singing
