"The best way to predict an ambush is to plan the ambush." Ruje says, scanning the terrain around the caravan before turning to his apprentice. "If Ma'Zha wished to ambush this caravan, where would he hide?"
Ma'Zha looks around, looking down at his map then points north toward the cliffs. "The road north passes through a small ravine."
"And If the caravan takes the road south?"
"The bridge is not on the map and has an..." Ma'Zha stops to think, the word escaping him.
"Awning?" Ruje guesses
"Yes." Ma'Zha answers, somewhat embarrassed. "Ma'Zha could hide under the bridge or climb into the awning."
"Very good," Turning to his apprentice, Ruje grins, "But this one has missed something."
"What?"
"It looks as if a river once ran below us, and yet Ruje sees little sign of plant life growing. This one believes the caravan uses this riverbed, rather than the road, to travel from the south."
Reward; This one's worth 5k, so those with families to feed who just spent their monthly rations at last night's auction might wish to seek out this spot.
