not so heavy rp events or weekly random roleplay ideas

I've been wondering if there wasn't a way to start having less formal RP as both a fun break for those who are serious RP people and also a way for those that are not as familiar with RP or whose schedules don't match up to get a easier entry into RP.

Also these events like the live auction could be a good venue for recruiting and promoting RP (why RP because it rocks)

Theme of activity:
Riddle and story telling contest
example: a man pushes a car by a hotel WHY find out at the event or ask in chat(only yes no questions)

Idea:
We meet somewhere off the beaten track and have a riddle and story telling event.

Contests:
best riddler
best story teller
most entertaining


Theme of activity:
Fishing day
Admission: jo'sha's mon(operators) idea of fishing is going to whole paycheck and finding very tasty fish to bbq he is not very good on fishing lore

Idea:
relaxing day fishing or contest
Rare fish hunt
excuse for a beach party

contest:
most fish caught
best fishing outfit

Theme of activity:
Musical bands

Idea:
each band would have to have
1. at least 2 instruments
2. at least one vocalist (/say)
3. some form of costume
optional
pyrotechnics (make things esplode)
promoters (goes out and advertises for band)

best costumes
best vocalist
best pyrotechnics
best in show
most lore appropriate
best crowd gathered

Crafters fair

Idea:
we take over a town somewhere with stalls and have live sales people selling there goods
each stall would need a salesmen and a caller (/say best armor sets for low level characters in all of ..

things to sell:
mats
enchants
food

services to trade:
anyone looking to trade research or exchange crafted items for break up

Theme of activity:
a cheese mint party

Idea:
do all world mobs in a zone
do all 1st tier Group dungeons

Theme of activity:
Iron man contest (no not the movie)

Idea:
we setup a race with a set course that involves horse back riding then swimming followed by a foot race.
(stock or no cheats and a anything goes)

Contest:
best time
most creative method of cheating (only in anything goes run)
best RP running (looking for someone trying to make it appear real)

Theme of activity:
RP camping trip

idea:
group meets up somewhere and walk to a place where we will camp out
camp fire
good food
music
skits
scary stories

(Admission IRL jo'sha's mon (operator) is a hike/intro backpacking leader)
note to self don't bring moonshine on this trip like the last time /shivers

Theme of activity:
Pub Crawl (said with slightly drunken enthusiasm)
(IRN) storming/hot and lots of paper work to do for work thinking this would be much more fun also STUPID PATCH GO FASTER

Idea: pick a zone and go from bar to bar having a drink (bug juice for the young kits) at each bar
story telling and riddles encouraged
each bar could have an ambassador (RP'er to help with event)

OTHER IDEAS

officers office time (a time where people can meet and talk to officers)

NOOB pvp (those of us who have no clue what pvp is could go and learn while being protected by those that are master pvper's

We actually cut down the number of scheduled RP nights so that events like these could take place hosted by members. Its to encourage subplots. If your able to start some stuff like this up, feel free.

I wanna sign for some of those, the beer run and RP camp :D. What is the Schedule that are gonna be made?
