Greetings, all.

One thing I have noticed about Blue Skooma is the wonderful group of people that I find in guild chat. Thank you all for being so friendly and helpful. That being said, I find myself needing to say goodbye to Blue Skooma.

When I joined Blue Skooma a few weeks ago, I joined during a "failed" experiment. When I came to the website for the first time, I didn't think that it was the guild for me. There was a strong RP association with Khajiit culture, of which I am woefully ignorant, and there was a large focus on chaos - e.g., crime lords opposed to Dominion control. Yet, there was a sub-group dedicated to honest, lawful merchants. After reading the write-up on the Broken Bottle Company, I realized that within this overall guild, I had a place for my annoying lawful good tendencies. I applied to the guild, applied to the IC company, was accepted, added my character sheet, and went to my first RP session that night. That night's RP was the Death of the Clan Mother, which also signaled the death of the Broken Bottle Company. I just didn't know it.

I honestly had no idea until last Wednesday's RP night that the Broken Bottle was considered a failed idea. The events of last Wednesday (the RP night where the current Clan Mother made an attempt to bring a moral group together) made me begin to question if I did have a place in Blue Skooma. It is, after all, an RP guild and the RP story is the most important part of it. Our GM has a vision of what he wants his guild to be, of what he wants the story to be, and I respect that vision and the admirable story telling that is going on. I am not saying I don't like the story - I am just saying that there is no good RP reason for my LG characters to be a part of it. The current movement against the Thalmor, law bringers who are (at least as far as my characters know) justifiably trying to clear up a clearly lawless town, is a great story idea. It does a good job of bringing the established RP characters within the guild together. I just can't find a good RP reason why my characters would oppose the Thalmor. They actually wouldn't oppose the Thalmor with the current knowledge they have the situation.

So, here is my quandary...stay in Blue Skooma and completely remove myself from the RP aspects so that I can enjoy the people I have been privileged to meet, or leave the guild. I felt that it was disingenuous of me to stay in while secretly ignoring the primary aspect of the guild. That left me only one option.

tl;dr

It is with the utmost respect that I wish you all good luck and good times in the wonderfully complex story you are weaving. If anyone wants to friend me please send me a friend request at @Lynadianya.
