Two eyes gaze forlorn to the sea, seeking Sanctuary against a fallen tree below a monument to the Moons. Finding no reprieve in life these eyes gaze forever to the sea, unblinking and unwavering, watching and waiting perhaps for something long forgotten. Nearby, only feet away, lay a backpack, its contents the remains of broken dreams. It is said that broken dreams are the soil in which new dreams are planted.

Find this backpack and post a picture of your character standing or posing near the backpack to win. Posting a picture of your character standing at the location where my character is standing is not required and will not earn you the prize. This one's worth 6k, so this one wishes you good hunting.

Guess I shouldn't be surprised to learn there's another forlorn skeleton in the area, but he's leaning against some crates where as our friend in the riddle is leaning against a fallen tree.

I have the picture but relized it had privet info on it when I screen shot had to take down but it was up I can't re up load atm sadly so figures that might elimate me but I guest its your call

Alright, here's how this riddle breaks down. I think it's pretty obvious by the clues that you're looking for a skeleton. Sanctuary and Moons are both capitalized in the riddle...

"gaze forlorn to the sea, seeking Sanctuary" = Seaside Sanctuary
"a monument to the Moons" = Moonhenge, henges being "a Neolithic monument of the British Isles"
Along with those two clues you had my screenshot, so in this case the cache was located somewhere between Seaside Sanctuary, Moonhenge, and the screenshot location.

I'll be breaking down the clues from here on after each Geocatching event, just so others can get an idea on what kinds of hints to look for when they're looking at the riddles. I should note that capitalizing will not always be used, so don't panic if next weeks riddle doesn't have them.

"gazing forlorn to the sea" It would be hard to gaze out to sea if you were in the middle of the forest. :P

I saw your picture before you removed it, and Eddiember also openly admits you beat him to it since he saw you there, so I'll allow it this time. At least Eddiember went ahead and posted his picture as well so members could see where the location was.

Wow this looks fun, is it still going on or did it die off :(

It stopped a while ago :P, although if there is enough interest we could see about bringing something like this back.
