Guild Name Change

After some work, I received the go ahead from Zenimax for a guild name change.

I originally did this to remove the Co. at the end of Blue Skooma Co. from our name as the scope and IC focus of our RP has had to change quite a bit to accommodate more roleplayers with the collapsing of other RP guilds since launch.

My questions to the Officers of this guild is: If not Blue Skooma or Blue Skooma Roleplay, what should our name be? Although we lose the occasional recruit that can't disassociate the OOC guild name from RP, the new name should probably include Blue Skooma in some way as this is our established identity.

Sugar Claw Clan? Lol.

Honestly, I'm not sure, but perhaps we should go something a bit broader? I'll think about this and try to get back soon.

Yeah I think it's best to stick with the Blue Skooma branding as it's quite well known now. BS is always Bull Shit to me as well! BS Roleplay is rather amusing, though hard to take seriously.

"Blue Skooma" would be ideal, in J'sarr's opinion. Maybe that early guild has disbanded?

I agree, we are well known in game as Blue Skooma, we should keep that name as our own so my vote would be for just Blue Skooma

Th problem I have with calling it "Sugar-Claw Clan" Is we fall into a similar trap as those who RP houses of Dunmer in the Pact side. It makes the guild look exclusive. As now the problem being that we have people not joining because they see "Blue Skooma" as an unrepeatable name, we would probably have people not wanting to join out of the idea we might be more Khaj'iit specific. I also don't agree with BS RP, as stated BS is another term for Bull Shit, and our RP is far from such a thing. I would propose that we reconsider having the word "Skooma" in the guild title. I know it has always been an integral part of our guild but I think it may be the cause of potential recruits not wanting to associate with us. The reason is that Skooma is often related in TES lore to those crazy comical characters, something that the masses might not be looking for in their search of a RP guild for their character, being that one could act comical in most RP guilds they find. We do have our share of comical people, but I think that isn't a highlight of what our guild has to offer. I would suggest a more serious title without the use of the word "Skooma".

If we were starting the guild again I'd suggest a name other than Blue Skooma. But we've built up a lot of community recognition from the name now. It would be a shame to throw that away.

I still think the skooma association is relevant to the guild RP, as it speaks to the outlaw setting.


Also, Tryyn. Stop trying to make BS RP happen. It's not going to happen.
