My bf makes fun of me for the music I listen to, because I bounce back and forth between two completely different genres.

Sometimes I listen to rap and hip-hop. Most of the time I listen to orchestral type music. I recently discovered symphonic power metal, which I have fallen in love with. It's basically an orchestra but with guitars and drums. This is always the kind of music I listen to when I'm questing/running dungeons/raiding. Here's a few from different people:

EDIT: I also am not a big fan of country music but I know how to country swing dance, i.e. swing, aeriels, flips, dips, slides. It's a lot of fun :) thus is the life of growing up on a cattle ranch, yeehaw.

First of all... Arisel the fact that you have TECH N9NE up there is freaking awesome!!! Seen him in concert and it was a damn good show.

As for me, during game play I don't listen to much music because there is usually a kids show on, on the t.v. behind me LoL I.E. Dora the Explorer, Spongebob Squarepants, or anything found on Disney channel.

When I DO get to listen to music, though, it's either ... and yes thsi is kind of an awkward combo... country music or Rap. I grew up listening to both but didn't TRULY respect country music untill the last couple years (and yes buying my Chevy Silverado 2500HD Truck helped usher in the country music era of my life).

Ansaari listens to a lot of different things, She has Spotify just to satisfy those varying musical tastes.

Lately She has discovered Lindsey Stirling for that Violin music with a beat.

I listen to whatever Sumar is listening to: we play in the same room and it's always her choice. ; )

Occasionally when alone I listen to rock, classic rock, and alternative rock.

I'm so jealous that you've seen Tech N9ne before. My bf got me hooked. Caribou Lou is still one of my most favorite party songs xD

And country music really isn't all that bad. Personally if I have to listen to it, you can find me browsing 90s country like George Straight, Garth Brooks, Brooks and Dunn, Tim Mcgraw or Chris Ledoux. I'm not a fan of the new country at all :P And if you ever get to chance to learn how to dance to country music DO IT! It's a hell of a lot of fun, and something fun to show off to those who don't know how.

I listen to most anything, honestly. Favourites are Sonata Arctica, Bad Religion, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Millencolin, and Tom Petty. As said before, like Nightwish a lot, and I also like Dragonforce but as far as metal goes I pretty much stick to stuff like them, and that's about it. Really love 80s music of all kinds, too, and celtic punk bands will forever hold a special place in my heart lol (like Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphys).

Radiohead, Tool, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Grizzly Bear, Fleet Foxes, Talking Heads, Smashing Pumpkins, Daft Punk, London Grammar, Gorillaz, Led Zeppelin, Kyuss, Cream, Massive Attack, Soundgarden, Air, Tricky, Pink Floyd, The Vines, Yes, Wolf People, King Crimson, The Who, Hawkwind, The Yardbirds, The Smiths, The Stone Roses, Pulp, Beck, Frank Zappa...

There's lots more, but just not enough hours in a day to listen to all the delicious music humans have made.

I don't usually listen to music while playing ESO, but I do while sitting at my desk during weekdays. I like to listen to Pink Floyd, Broken Bells, The Shins, and my iTunes shuffle has a ton of different stuff in it, including but not limited to: Beastie Boys, Ben Harper, Bloc Party, The Cure, The Smiths, Depeche Mode, Everclear, Grouplove, Fitz & The Tantrums, Old 97's and Phish.

My mood and my goal for influencing it greatly affects choices, but some common picks are Atreyu, Jamiroquai, Metallica, Lorena McKennitt, Enigma, Alabama, Eminem, Cypress Hill, WuTang Clan, Ludicrous, Prodigy, Sublime, Rolling Stones, The Doors, Beethoven, Joe Satriani.

I pick based on how I want to feel at the moment.

For me music is a mood enhancer depending on how I feel depends on what I listen to most of the time when I'm pvping I'm listing to: Megadeth, Rammstein, Ozzy, Powerman 5000, AC/DC, Drowning Pool, Papa Roach, Clutch, Godsmack, and much much more.

If I'm PVEing I will listen to more mellow music like: Anugama, Caperaille, Celtic Thunder, Dido, Enigma, Enya, Gordon Lightfoot, Lifehouse, and Lisa Lynne. Just to name a few. :D

I should probably add that I am a sucker for any song that has a fun dance to it. Cotton-Eyed Joe, Wobble Baby, Cupid Shuffle, and anything I can swing dance to. I love dancing :)

I have the strange quirk that I can not listen to music while playing a game, it is simply too distracting and I end up not enjoying either thing. However at work, I just set the pandora to a 50's and 60's station. I am 28 years old, some people seem to find this odd.

I was lucky enough to see these guys in concert a few times before they split up a couple years back. I was in my first mosh pit to their song Deadbolt, my brother tapped me on the shoulder, I turned around and he took off my glasses, all of a sudden he shoved his palm into my chest and pushed me into the pit where I stayed for the next few songs. Best concert ever haha. What was surprising is when my brother use to record songs with his friends and their band, these guys were in the same studio. Their music always surprised me, evolving with each album

Allie, I really like C2C so far. They have an interesting combo of jazzy vocals and electric beats that is rather unique and works well together. I have only listened to their premier album thus far, but they have been working with other artist for a number of years, so I am going to start checking those out next.

I either listen to the LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring/Return of the King- The Complete Recordings soundtracks, the Troy soundtrack, or Gladiator. That's if I'm feeling at atmospheric, orchestral mood.
