I was glad to catch a /zone message from Sylvaswift yesterday, as I am a huge fan (and a veteran) of RPing online and have missed that aspect of my gaming experience. I started way back in the hey-day of BatMUD, played through all the expansions of Dark Age of Camelot and WoW, even helping to run an RP guild for a while. Tried Rift, didn't stick, pre-ordered, beta'd and was a Founder in SWTOR but the population was so low it wasn't any fun. Looked fwd to ESO from conception but waited until it had been live about a month or so before diving in.
My name is Sean, I'm in computer hardware sales, and I have been enjoying ESO tremendously for about 4 months now. When I'm not online (which is a lot, I must say) I'm a dad, to an 11yo daughter and 6yo step-son. I love to read (Fantasy, mostly, but just about anything is fair game) and listen to music (see the "What do you listen to thread!)
My better half (admit it guys, it's true in nearly every case, they're our better half!) is NOT a gamer, doesn't see the draw, but puts up with me spending time in this virtual world. I don't play all that often, and it's rare I have time to play for great lengths of time, but I do love being IC while playing my various characters. I'm a writer and very interested in their development and back stories, and those of my fellow guildmates and gamers! I do solo a lot while levelling, because I love the lore and questing and my play-time is often in short bursts, but some of the most fun is had in dungeon groups- I just don't always have time to commit to a group for 45-60mins
We have a maltese-mix puppy named Jack.
