I've got a pretty short fuse atm, due to a large amount of stress and a very small amount of sleep, which is part of the reason I don't talk much in ts anymore and my rp participation is often a day or two in between. Between having to babysit my severely adhd, seven year old nephew all day, my insomnia kicking into overdrive, my dog refusing to be potty trained, zenimax in general, my current living situation, Florida in general, and a nice heaping bag of other crap I'm dealing with atm, my patience levels are at an all time low. I've been told I have the patience of a saint on many occasions, but I'm to the point that when I'm alone at home I can't seem to relax no matter how hard I try. In fact, just after typing the first sentence of this post, my dog crapped on the floor again, so... '>. >

That said, I can see how short my fuse is getting and despite my attempts, it's not getting any longer atm nor can I seem to stop it from shrinking further. I appologize in advance for any venting that I have done or will do in the future in either ts or eso. Sad to say that my duties as an officer in the guild, and what rps I do get to attend, are just about all I enjoy atm. Ri'Sari's said it a few times, jokingly of course, in ts because he's heard me venting before, but "I really don't enjoy very much" atm, lol.

I've been in ruts before, who hasn't, and I'll eventually either ditch the shovel and grab a rope or dig myself deep enough that I end up in China and it just so happens that I love Chinese food.

P.S. by the time I was done typing this post, my nephew ended up dumping animal crackers all over the coffee table and floor. Que the soap opera background music. -.-

*Hugs*. That is a lot of things all going on at once. It happens, but the way I see it you are aware of the effect that the stress is having and doing your best to control it. Sometimes when things get super stressful all you can do is just keep your head above the water.

Hopefully it all calms down soon :)

Gah, sorry to hear about everything. I'd say you have the patience of a saint. I woulda exploded into confetti long ago if I had all of that going on! Just keep trying to keep yourself sane and take time for yourself to just sit and be alone when you have the time. Good luck with everything, though I'm positive all will turn out just fine in the end. And if you need to continue to vent I'm sure those here would gladly lend an ear and help. I know I would. c:

I'm sorry to hear of your stress! Having a son with ADHD I competely understand the frustrations. He's a teenager now and it's easier but my memories of his first decade of life, while amazing and wonderful...also resulted in a lot of destruction, fits, and what have you.

He once, when he was four, he coated my entire house in peanut butter... Including the cat... As I was cleaning I got a call from the neighbor saying he was outside chasing our cat with a ketchup bottle yelling "C'MERE KITTY! I"M GONNA EAT YOU!" *facepalms....*

Of course..he loves animals and is a sweet gentle kid for the most part...but that just gives you a day in the life. Short fuse and sleep deprivation is completely understandable.

I haven't been able to play in almost a week myself. Today will be my first day "off" in awhile. So lack of playtime is also something I understand. I know we haven't really spoken in game but if you ever need any advice on how to deal with an ADHD kid or just vent to someone who understands, do feel free to do so! It can be... Well hard doesn't really do the experience justice...

Worry not! You are amongst friends!

I need to take lessons from you on dealing with stress. I ended up in a similar position recently that didn't end so favorably for me >_>

I know you are going through a rough time and no one blames you. I think you handle diffusing situations and helping people very well which is why I wanted you in the Diplomacy department. So the fact that you can be that cool headed with everything going on is great.

Speaking not as the GM but as your friend, I think you need something to aspire to to change things. A simple goal can motivate you through the toughest times. Set your sights on one thing at a time that will help you be more happy, develop a plan of action, and execute it. I know you have already been doing this with your new job but there is the reminder not to stop!

I am very happy that you're enjoying the guild. Everyone I know enjoys having you here. :)

Ansaari feels bad for you, and knows how it is with insomnia >.<

Just remember, it will get better. And we are here to help take your mind off things for a bit :)
