Tilano Red
He was just an average Altmer boy. He grew up with his parents, went to school, grew a fabulous mustache, and graduated.
He was born on the 25th of Evening Star in Auridon. He was trained to become a Thalmor soldier since birth by his father. Tilano enjoyed it and loved to train with his father in his spare time. As the years went on, he went to school and learned new things, met new people, and rose to the top of the class. After he graduated, he was deployed in Auridon for a couple years before being moved to Woodhearth for a reason he wasn't told about, but would soon learn.
Upon arrival at the Thalmor headquarters, he was informed of why he was there. Apparently, there was an increase in skooma dealing in the city and his job was to learn who was selling it and bring them to justice. A couple weeks passed and they found the culprits and brought them in however, they were broken out and freed. An investigation was ordered to find who freed them and to re-capture the skooma dealer. During this, they learned that the clan of the skooma dealers was building a ship to escape so they sent a small group to command them to surrender. Sadly, Tilano wasn't able to go because he had gone to an auction in Marbruk where he met a hideous goblin who proceeded to banish him to Oblivion after cutting off half of his fabulous mustache. Tilano swore revenge and waited out his days in Oblivion before he was finally freed.
During his time there, he wandered the Shivering Isles, the whole experience was maddening. One day, he was walking through a forest when he came across a black gem on the ground, not seeming to be of an major importance yet very attracting. He pocketed the gem and went along with his day as normally as one could in such a place. However, about an hour later, he was attacked by a group of Daedra who beat and kidnapped him, turns out the gem was important after all. He woke up in a dark and wet room, yet very warm, surrounded by six Dremora chanting strange words. He looked around in panic to see if there was any possible way of escape. As he searched, he noticed glowing runes on the floor, strings of violet and black light danced around them, slowly moving upwards towards him as the chant continued. The last thing he could remember was the sight of a black gem being pressed against his chest as the tendrils crawled around his body…

Enigma
Enigma was the name given to the Daedra that was created by Boethiah and given as a reward to her champion. Enigma was created from the darkness in the hearts of mortals that was created by their own greed and envy. Enigma followed and obeyed the Champion for many years, however, one day came and the Champion was slain. The Champion commanded that Enigma give his life so that he may live on. Enigma was reluctant, but he had to obey. Enigma transferred his life essence into the Champion allowing them to survive. Something was different, Enigma had used the Champion as a mean to break his bonds to Boethiah and possess a physical form on the face of Nirn. From that day, Enigma referred to himself by the name of The Red and did whatever he so pleased. Boethiah was enraged by the betrayal of their creation driving them to get some form of revenge, leading to a deal with Clavicus Vile. Boethiah traded the soul shred that she had contained from Enigma for a ring. Boethiah had lied to Vile for she had contained another piece. She fused it with the ring to cause the bearer to control Enigma’s spirit. Boethiah then gave the ring to a group of priestesses who worshiped her and tasked them with the mission of combining the rest of Enigma’s spirit to the ring.
Years passed and the priestesses scoured the lands for any clues to Enigma’s whereabouts. They arrived at a tavern in Skyrim where they met a powerful mage who spoke of a powerful warrior that had stopped at the tavern two days ago. He spoke of how the warrior had gone on a journey to Cyrodiil in search of a true challenge for their strength. Determined that the warrior spoken of was the one they searched for, they left again to pursue. Days past and no luck, the priestesses had nearly given up hope when they heard the sound of a lute being played by the light of a fire. Enigma had stopped for the day and set up camp, relaxing to the sound of the lute. The priestesses came up with a plan to try to distract him while some of them performed the binding ritual. They needed one of them to surrender to Enigma so that he would be distracted long enough for the others to capture him. A priestess by the name of Cindea Aedore, she was a young and beautiful Altmer woman. She knew what might happen and accepted her fate, she separated from the group and approached Enigma under the guise of being poor and lost. Enigma was wary at first as he set his lute to the side and approached the woman. Enigma had the form of a tall and muscular Dunmer after taking over the body of Boethiah’s former champion. He towered over the young woman and examined her to judge if she was she had claimed to be. The other priestess were worried and were preparing the ritual as fast as they could without messing up or drawing Enigma’s attention. Cindea knew that if she didn't do something, she would be discovered and killed alongside the other priestesses. She gave herself to him knowing that there would be no other choice that wouldn't risk the others getting caught. Finally, the other priestesses were able to perform the ritual and start to bind Enigma to the ring. Outraged by the deception, Enigma prepared to cut down Cindea, but a different idea came to mind. With an evil smirk he allowed himself to be captured after transferring his own life force into Cindea, splitting him in two.
The priestesses returned to the shrine and offered the ring to Boethiah to show that they were still loyal even after all that had happened. Boethiah took the ring, surprised by her followers until she found out what Enigma had planned. She demanded that the priestesses handed Cindea over to her since she was poisoned by Enigma. They pleaded to let her live, offering everything they could if Boethiah would spare her. Boethiah was frustrated, but knew that without them, Enigma would still be gone. She spared Cindea with the promise that when the child was born, they were to sacrificed to her or she would take the lives of all the priestesses. Cindea was grateful and swore that she would gladly give the child to her if it would persuade Boethiah to trust and spare them. Months passed and Cindea gave birth to Enigma’s son who was to be named Vollas after Cindea’s own father. Cindea knew that she had to give up her child to Boethiah, but she loved him too much. She placed a ward over the child to shield him from the Boethiah’s detection and left him at the door of a nearby inn, hoping that someone would take care of him. Boethiah, outraged by more betrayal, took the lives of all of the priestesses before Cindea. Boethiah rose Goldbrand into the sky and prepared to take Cindea’s life, but she couldn't, she was impressed with the courage it took for Cindea to betray a Daedric Prince. Instead, Boethiah transferred the tortured souls of Cindea’s fellow priestesses into her mind, forcing her to hear their voices in her mind until her death two years later.
Years later when Boethiah granted the ring to her newest champion, Enigma had awoken again and planned a way to break free yet again. The Champion was granted great strength and combat prowess with the ring, so much in comparison to their original power that it started to corrupt their mind. They stopped by a guild hall for the Mages Guild to talk about the ring. The Magister had heard of the ring and its legend and attempted to kill the Champion to take possession of the ring to destroy it. A long battle took place between the Champion and those at the Mages Guild before the Champion fell and the ring was lost. The Magister and the other students prepared a spell to destroy the ring, but it backfired. The ring was destroyed, but Enigma was freed instead of disappearing alongside his prison. He took over the body of the Magister and slayed the students, disappearing again to search for his other half. Enigma knew that the body was old and weak, it would soon fail him and he would need a new one. He made his own rings, five silver rings with the Daedric symbols “N E W L I F E” etched into the band and set with a single blood red gemstone that he would give to those who swore themselves to him. This pattern continued for many years before something went wrong, as the transfer ritual was being performed, the vessels had betrayed Enigma, trapped him inside a black gem with the five rings inside. They banished the gem to a random location in Oblivion in hopes that he would never return to Nirn...

Crimson Rings
The rings were created by Enigma to allow himself to live on throughout time. They were enchanted with his own magic that had different effects on any who wore them. Vampires would be able to control the hunger for blood, werewolves would be able to control their transformations, and sorcerers would boast in their magicka reserves. However, there was a downside to wearing the rings, if one who wore the ring tried to remove the ring on their own, it would cause a dangerous change to them. It would send vampires into a blood rage, werewolves would transform where they were, and a sorcerer’s magicka would flow out of control inside their own body until Enigma either removed the ring and its effect himself or they perished.

Enigma's Realm
Enigma’s realm is a pocket of Oblivion where whoever enters must face their five most painful memories all over again as if they were real if they wanted to go deeper inside his realm. Once someone went forward, they could not go backwards and must press on through their memories until they came to the end where Enigma rests. His area was bright and beautiful and would allow those to live through their happiest memories whenever they wanted and would be able to leave if they pleased.
