Flair: Voct has bright red eyes and pale skin, at first glance most would say the elf is barely out of adolescence.
Rumors: Some say that Voct's blood has been tainted with vampirism but most simply ignore all signs that he's a creature of the night.
Background: Voct was born to a very wealthy family in Alinor on the west coast of the Summerset Isle. Ever since he can remember Voct has had an affinity with the magical arts, with that being said his parents had hired tutors for him ever since he could walk. By the age of thirteen he was enrolled in the mages' guild and quickly rose to the top of his class, he remained there for the remainder of his days in the guild, not with ease but with endless hours of practicing and sleepless nights spent studying. By the time he was eighteen the competition was getting even stiffer while his tutors were simply another thing his wealthy parents can throw their coin at.
With a desire to increase his power and surpass all of his instructors Voct began contacting daedra to gain knowledge that would unlock his potential at a phenomenal pace. When he first began dabbing he was confronted by the infamous Sheogorath, who merely sent him on wild adventures that went on for years with plenty of near death experiences which oddly always taught some of the best lessons that you can't learn in a book or a classroom. During one of his adventures Voct was confronted by
Boethiah, unsurprisingly Sheogorath had gotten bored and sent Voct on a suicide mission to steal a golden katana from the daedric prince of schemes. With a shocking turn of events Boethiah cut Voct a deal, "defeat his head instructor in a duel to unlock incomprehensible knowledge or die a long and agonizing death." Voct of course chose the option with the promise of knowledge. Voct's instructor had suspicions that Voct was dabbling with Daedra, and had showed up at his parent's manor to confront Voct about his progress, without hesitation Voct attacked, and after a long fought battle Voct struck down his instructor, banishing him from the guild but as promised Boethiah connected him to the daedric prince Mephala.
After a series of test, Mephala sought Voct worthy of the knowledge possessed by her sibling Hermaeus Mora. Voct spent the next three years studying in Hermaeus Mora's library, over time Hermaeus Mora became quite fond of Voct, purely for his lust of knowledge, but flattering either way. Voct read of a way to preserve is body in it's prime of youth that was connected to Morag Bal, Hermaeus Mora warned Voct not to enter Coldharbour, but in his arrogance Voct did not heed Hermaeus Mora's warning. Voct entered Coldharbour with confidence, angered by his presence Morag Bal appeared with a vengeance. Knowing of his previous endeavors with Boethiah, Morag Bal immediately attacked Voct, on the brink of death Hermaeus Mora intervened saving Voct's life but not before Morag Bal cursed Voct with Vampirism.
Knowing that Voct's fate had been sealed Hermaeus Mora left Voct with Lamae Bal. After three days Voct awoke a pure blood vampire, ashamed of his arrogance Voct has refused to contact Hermaeus Mora ever since. Lamae took special interest in Voct and helped assured that Voct mastered his new talents as a Vampire. For the next thirty years Voct spent most of his time in Valenwood avoiding vampire hunters, and studying magic. Voct has seeked shelter with a few local Bosmer who were more accepting than others.
