(( I'd just like to appologize for grammar or vocabulary mistakes. English is not my first language :) ))

Lyria’bel

Age: Mid-aged before turning.

Race: Altmer/Vampire

Flair:

She is short for an Altmer. She still has her beautiful long copper hair that she ties into a bun on the side of her head. She used to have big emerald eyes that tended to turn blue on beautiful sunny days. She had a paled gold skin that looked like a corn field early in the morning and a little scar above her eyebrow. Sadly, vampirism changed her appearance. Her eyes have the color of blood instead of the ocean… and the taint of death all over her skin.

Rumors:

-Lyria’ bel is cold, introvert and cautious since she turned off her feelings. She doesn’t care much about anything but herself. She used to be caring, joyful, loyal and she was a nice traveling companion.
-Deep down, she might be trying to find a way to make peace with all she is. Becoming one, face her inner demons and her dark memories.
-Rumors say that she heard of a cure for vampirism but her thirst for money and glory made her turn that idea down.
-She can be arrogant and impatient but very seductive if needed. She knows how to get something out of someone.
- She is very attentive, listening conversations from afar and taking all the information she can get about anything.
-Favorite quote: ‘’ The end justifies the means.’’
-Skilled archer and powerful mage. She can kill from distance without being seen.

Background:

Lyria’bel was born in a little village near Skywatch.

She grew up with her parents, working as a stable keeper with her mother. She raised her good and proudly taught her the way of the Altmer. Her mother was a skilled lute player and taught her how to play and read music. She knew of her magical abilities but she forbade her to use them.

In her free time, you could see her shooting with her bow, practicing on a dummy or hunting. She loved hunting for her family and bringing food on the table.
She was adventurous and fearless her mother would’ve said.

Years later, she came back from a hunt in the woods to find out that her village had been raided. She found her whole family slaughtered. The few survivors told her it was a vampire attack.
She fled her village, scared and confused. She heard tales and stories about vampires but never thought it could be true. She fled to Skywatch, seeking help and shelters. She found refuge at the mage’s guild and she stayed there for years, sharpening her magical abilities. She didn’t know how but all she was thinking about was avenging her family. She spent years secretly studying vampires, their cults, their powers and their weaknesses.

Stronger and older, she left the mage’s guild. She decided to start her journey, all those years of studying was now about to pay off. She was conviced that she wouldn’t be the only one despising vampires. Accordingly to her plan, she met a group of travelers, which she found surprisingly well armed. They were vampire hunters. Some were seeking revenge and some were doing it for the righteous feeling of cleansing the land of these horrible creatures. She traveled with them across Tamriel raiding vampire’s nest and whatnot. Once again, being with them, felt like home. She had a purpose and she was good at what she was doing.
She was mostly sent as scout. They noticed her talent for hunting and tracking. One night, the members of her group stayed in town. The bard of the group was telling tales of their exploits in the Inn. They offered her to take the night off but she was restless knowing that the area was crawling of vampires.

She went out in the wilds scouting in Reaper’s March when the hunt went bad. She lowered her guards for a brief moment when a vampire attacked her. Well that’s what she concluded when she woke up days later. She found herself in some sort of catacombs feeling dizzy and… hungry. Hunger that she never felt before. She thought that she was held captive for some reasons until she realized how pale her hands were. She finally realized they turned her into one of them. She was now what she hated the most. She fled the place, confused and lost once again but this time she felt like an entire new person… only memories were left of her old self. She felt like her feelings and her thoughts were belonging to someone else. Like someone else was living in her body and mind. Killing and feeding was all she could think about.

She almost got killed a couple of times trying to feed on travelers and merchants. She even thought about killing herself too. She couldn’t live with herself and what she has become. Survival Instincts from her new feral personality stopped her from doing it. She was miserable, living to feed and feed to live. That’s what her new “life” was all about.

Seasons changed, little by little she turned all her feelings off. It was easier that way.

Over the decades, she embraced her new self. The feelings still off, she lived with no remorse, killing and feeding recklessly. She even took advantage of her new powers, sneaking into houses and castles at night, stealing from the rich.
It went on and on until now, her only purpose is to gain power and money. She takes assassination contracts from time to time from people who don’t care to hire blood fiends.
