-An unknown hooded Altmer donning armor had been seen robbing nearby settlements. Upon Cedriel's arrival of a settlement, some of the populace speculate that he is the one who was committing the robberies...
-Bandits raided a large Aldemari Dominion military caravan in the region. Some speculate that; along with his sudden arrival after the spread of the rumor, Ced was part of that caravan.
-(to those who are very speculative) Ced killed everyone in his company.
Background:
Cedriel worked as a dockhand in Vulkhel Guard most of his life, slowly working his way up to a foreman. The pay was good, but Ced began to develop an undying need to venture outside of the town. Though the pay was meager, he enjoyed working as a caravan hand, working small jobs throughout Auridon. Years later, he began working jobs delivering supplies to the front-lines in Cyrodiil. Eventually he began to develop a sense of paranoia as his caravan was often attacked by mercenaries of the opposing factions. Having developed an obsessive disorder of needing to be prepared, he volunteered to be a scout for the caravan, usually traveling 15 minutes ahead of the group, scanning the area for any threats.
His company often referred the area between Valenwood and Cyrodiil as "no man's land", acknowledging the barren-ness of the land with its lack of resources, and potential threats. Though nothing actually happened during their many crossings, it was always a good "mental warm-up" before crossing into Cyrodiil. Everyone in the company hated the March.
Despite it's circumstances, Ced seemed to have a good career- seeing the world, traveling with a caravan large enough to deter any sizable bandit group, fighting for the Queen... But for anyone who is able to figure out that he is a member of a known military caravan (through any part of his attire, his weapon, going through his things) the real question would be: where is the rest of his company? Why is he staying here?
From this, a new life begins for Ced: "Recluse in No Man's Land".
