Iella is blind, and has been since birth. Despite this disability she was raised in a life of leisure, and of course, she rebelled against it.
She is extremely proficient with a bow, using her hearing and sense of smell to compensate for her lack of eye sight, though inanimate objects like the occasional rock can still trip her up.

Background: (What our characters don't know, but can find out!)
Raised in the lap of luxury she rebelled against it all. Iella tired quickly of the coddling, being treated as helpless, never allowed to act on her own.
The only one that did not treat her as such was one of her family estates hunters, who taught her the use of bows, how to hunt, and stalk prey.
She put those skills to use in slipping away from her aides, whom she referred to often as "Prison guards." While away from her minders she would often use her skills to learn other skills, such as theft and pick pocketing. The few times she would get caught she would be able to put off things as a mistake, sighting her blindness as an excuse.
Despite rejecting her family's coddling, she could not help but learn the stereotypical Altmer sense of superiority. This, combined with her resentment towards those she perceives as treating her as fragile, often leads toward her being aloof, and condescending.

Often moves as though not blind, but occasionally runs into or knocks over inanimate objects that have no unique smell or make no sound.

Arealmo, the only one who did not treat her as if she might break.

Poorly. As her mother was often off with the Thalmor and her father was often at court/
