Since lots of people were interested in the idea of an in-guild werewolf pack, I decided to make a forum roleplay for people who were interested to enter into a storyline. Go ahead and jump in however it might suit your character's habits.

A groan resonated through Mereneth's body as she hoisted herself up from a bunch of pillows. She had a very fuzzy memory of the last parts of the night, except for the fact that she only had one drink. The woman recalled a fact; werewolves had a very weak resistance to poison. How one can live with this curse, I do not know, she though. As the sunlight lost its glare, she remembered the sober parts of the night. Ansaari had announced to Mereneth that she had become a "cat-dog", and she could swear there had been some other admittances along with hers. Of course, Mereneth knew that there were some wolves in the guild, but the last she had checked, they were few and far between.

Yet, as she guided herself down the steps of the Clanmother's House, a thought came to her mind. Unorganized does not mean few, she thought. There was the overarching kinship bound in Hircine's blood, but she realized she did not have any other pack. Was she even supposed to have one? Yes; the answer seemed to come both from within and beyond Mereneth's mind. This clan - this cluster of those seeking fortune of all sorts - was her company, but it was not a pack. There were too many opposed to the cursed gift: too many hunters, too many vampires, too many who were lucky enough not to be touched.

The Imperial navigated her way to the kitchen, making herself a cup of tea to soothe her hangover. So, the clan could have a pack. But how could we ever get the order necessary? Many do not even want the blood. She sat at a table, sighing as she opened a satchel to find papers carelessly crumpled. As she smoothed them out, a memory came back to her from the night, one that she had tried to avoid. Mereneth distinctly remembered feeling a shift - not provoked, simply a call from Hircine - and barely being able to find a secluded spot of the Clan's house. She had felt the eyes; she knew that some had seen her exit. Not only that, but she had to transform at the funeral to fight off a Thalmor agent. Surely, someone was beginning to notice.

There were some other clan members who for one reason or another were also in the house. Turning back to her delivery letters, Mereneth wondered with a somber smile if she might run with any of them in the future.

Jundara walks into the kitchen and proceeds to pour himself a cup of ale. Takes a slow sip of the ale, and walks over to an empty table to sit down. Flashing a smile to the imperial sitting at the table next to him This one wonders what the people here would think of him if I where to tell them this one is one with the wolf. He places his cup on the table as he sits down This one won't risk being run out again because of what he is.

Takes another sip of his ale, and then pulls out a book from his pack the cover reads An Account of Werewolves by Sage Svari of Fallowstone Hall, and begins reading. This is the reason why this one has trouble finding others of the wolf. As he continues to read his book he wonders more and more Maybe this one should search again for others.

He finishes the last of his ale off in one gulp, and then gets up and washes his cup out, and places it back with the others. This one will see if any rumors about werewolves can be found in Rawl. He then proceeds to walk to the front door.

Gata is as usual near the bar, drinking happily from a bottle. She can smell the town crawling with wolfs, but after her last experience with other weres, she doesn't approach them right away. Gata just drinks and observes, noticing that maybe she didn't meet all the wolfs in town after all.
Her pet Scuttler is digging a whole in the ground as she observes the Clan Mother's. She can't really pin out who is who, since there are so many wolfs around ((seriously)) she can only guess who they are by the gleam in their eyes.

Mereneth nods to the Khajit's smile, but goes back to her work. She catches a peripheral glance over her papers at the book title, though. She could attempt to make conversation, but there has been too much deceit with her as the victim recently that she does not feel very trustworthy. Anyway, she knows how it feels to be engrossed in a good book. Yet, Mereneth saved the cat's face in her memory. As he leaves, she sees A Gata by the bar, and gives her a friendly smile. Hopefully, Mereneth would be able to trust her for a long time. The female Khajit has a pensive, yet aware look in her eyes, and the Imperial swears she can see a glimmer of something else.

Quickly tiring of work in favor of the presence of friendly company, Mereneth puts the documents in her satchel and gets up from the table, leaning on the wall near the cat. "Hail, Gata," she says, "I trust that the day is treating you well?"

Gata eyes the imperial for a moment before answering, trying to pin down why she had that strange feeling about her. "Alo! Gata is fine and how is you?" she motions her bottle before saying "Can she offer you something to drink?"

Lucian strides into the clan mother's house. Something had told him to be there. A pull of some sorts. An urge. He decided to follow this feeling, and ended up in the tavern with only three others. He furrowed his brow and made his way to the bar to join the others. He looked lost in thought. Why am I here? He leaned under the bar to fetch a bottle of some kind of wine, he didn't check the name, and began sipping from the bottle. He nodded towards the book that Jundara held. "What're you reading there, Khajiit?"

Stops and turns around to face Lucian. With a slight smile Jundara says "This one was reading An Account of Werewolves by Sage Svari of Fallowstone Hall." As he stands there a bunch of thoughts start running through Jundara's mind Did I do something wrong? Does he know i'm a werewolf?

He raised a brow. This was no mere coincidence. He was sure of it. Hircine was calling him. Calling them, here. A single sniff of the air told him all they were Lycanthropes, and he knew they all smelled it, too. The question is, why? He took another swig of his bottle, the bitter sweet taste saturating his tastebuds. He pursed his lips. "No reason." He noted the nervous look on the Khajiit's face and tried to reassure him with a friendly smile. He turned his attention to the other two in the room; A Gata and Mereneth. He narrowed his eyes at the pair.

((I was thinking this could kind of be like Hircine telling Mere to start a pack and so we all sort of gravitated together. Thoughts?))

As he continues his walk to the door something seems to stop him. He thinks to himself This one thinks he should stay. So he turns around and walks back into the kitchen and leans up against the wall. As Jundara is standing there he wonders to himself Why must we hide like this.

(( I like the idea of forming a pack. I don't know how we would go about forming it though ))

((I kind of like the idea of Hircine calling us together.. it could just be the four of us, or anyone else who wants to get in on it. Then we can have a sort of fight for Alpha like we did with guard captain. Those who wish to be Alpha can compete and someone will roll dice to see who wins the fight?))

Elros sat cross legged in his cell. He watched the sunlight pour through the bars and watched the dust float in the air. He'd been imprisoned for a while now but was accepting his fate as each day passed. He had no idea what was going on outside the prison but he could sense that there were more werewolves around. He had been feeling the urge to meet these wolves for a while now.

The cell was quite spacious despite its dreary conditions. Elros got up and started pacing around. There it was again. He felt a pull. It was like he was being called to the Clan Mother's house. He looked through the bars in silence.

The Imperial glanced at the bottle. She was sure her drunk state had ended, yet her mind felt clouded. She knew the feeling; it had become more frequent since the Clan's journey to Rawl'kha. Looking up from the drink, Mereneth noticed the same look in Gata's eyes. "No, company is enough revelry for me," she said with a smile. "Besides," she added, and something about her changed. The polite superiority which graced High Elves and mages was replaced by the sly diplomatic stance which came so naturally to the humans of Cyrodiil. "I think you know why we are here." She allowed, more than commanded, her voice to carry to the others within the house.

Lucian lifts his head at Mereneth's voice and simply nodded. He peered at the others in the room, then spoke up as well. "I think we know Hircine has called us here tonight." He looked at each of their faces. "There are too many pups in town, yet no pack. We should be looking out for each other. For our kind." He waits in silence for their replies.

Jundara's ears perk up at the mention of Hircine and he raises his head to look at everyone in the room "This one has searched for a long time for more like this one" as he looks at each of there faces he senses a connection even though he has never met some of them. "This one has never felt so many of Hircine's finest in one place." "But this one wonders why we hide?"

Mereneth smiles as the various heads in the room perk up. She had not been addressing anyone in particular; they had been expecting a call. She caught the tone in Lucian's speech. It filled her with relief, for in it she heard a leader, someone who would help them all. Of course she felt this way. It was the same tone she used in her negotiations, which came so naturally to the humans of Cyrodiil. She simply nods at the comment, not planning to be lulled so easily.

Hearing the Khajit speak, she turns her head to meet his eyes. There was no doubt about it: these were all the hounds of Hircine. "We hide because it maintains order. We cannot deny that our presence angers some and causes unrest, and with good precedence. But, what if we showed that we could keep peace with ourselves and others? Oh, sure, we will still be abominations to some and outcasts to others, but there is strength in numbers - and connections." The Imperial pauses, giving time for her words to sink in and to plan her next argument. "Imagine, a pack of followers, set on making sure no one goes feral in the night, not cursed to turn on their brothers, but blessed with the ability to protect others! Imagine possessors of a gift not to be encouraged upon all, but not to be discouraged in those with the blood."

Lucian finds himself nodding along unconsciously with Mereneth's words. He speaks again, "We need a place where other pups can come to us.. feel safe. Be safe." He frowns, thinking of his time without direction. "We need to create a haven for those with our condition. They have no where to go. They are out there, unable to control themselves, hurting themselves and others. It's time we take fix the reputation for Werewolves." He looks from face to face. "And those who refuse to adhere to our standards... must be eliminated."

"All I can say at this moment," Mereneth says, "is that we must establish ourselves before we can establish trust. I suggest that all whom know wolves which are not present at this time, call upon them to gather as the wolves of Sren'ja. Perhaps we will be able to gather at the prince's shrine. Once this has occurred, we must begin to inform the Sugar-Claws of our coexistence. Slowly, at first. We will include the tolerant guardsman, the curious mage. Then we shall extend to the unsure, and perhaps we will turn the minds of the zealots." Her internal confidence grows to match the atmosphere she was creating. There was a palpable agreement in the room, and in a way it felt like one mind working together.
