Race: Dunmer ~ Ashlander
Age: Unknown
Flair: Deep, gravelly voice, heavy with Dunmeri accent and pirate slang. Tribal tattoos over her arms and torso.
Personality: Sovali is very misunderstood, her true personality is a mystery to those who know her. The projected traits keep many from trying to get to know her, and about her past and she seems to like it that way. In her experience, those who become close to her will eventually betray or use her for their own gains. She generally shows that she is an aloof and scornful at sometimes even cruel. However, there is much more under her hardened and cold demeanor...
Rumors: Some say Sovali is the Captain or leader of the misfit and outcast pirate crew, but what is a pirate crew without a ship, in the middle of Elsweyr? For the time being, they are merely a gang of rowdy ruffians.
Sovali is very rarely spotted admiring an ornate Dunmeri amulet, pure gold with a brilliant crimson and black coloured stone, set with a sinister looking insignia. Glaring at it intently, curious of what price it could fetch or what the insignia represents...
Background: Sovali's most painful memory and well kept secret is the tale of her origins.. She has never spoken of it to anyone; since leaving her camp in the Ashlands so long ago, Sovali has never found a person with whom she feels she can confide in.
Sovali began her sudden journey North through the Ashlands, where she would eventually end up serving as a crew member aboard a pirate vessel on the Sea of Ghosts.
The first few weeks on her journey were gruelling for the young Ashlander, she was alone, wandering aimlessly through Morrowind equipped only with her fighting staff, her clothing and a pack with a small bit of food and essential supplies for survival. She ended up along the shore, trying to catch fish and improve her makeshift camp when a group of pirates from a ship docked nearby found themselves face to face with Sovali... After the encounter, the crew had gained respect for Sovali after beating them off with her tribal fighting skill with the staff had left them missing a few teeth in the sands.
She was clearly alone and barely surviving; barren fish carcasses lying out on the sand and boulders, her tattered belongings strewn about the shabby hut of wood and brush. The leader of the Captain of the vessel allowed her to come aboard as a crew mate, provided she keep up with her duties, and earn her keep.
Sovali grew to enjoy this new lifestyle, she lived a pirate's life on the open waters for many years. The harsh way of life and her crew mates drove her to eventually accept the selfish and brutish culture, realizing her tribal traditions and ways would fast make her the outcast, which she continued to practice and recite in her private quarters. Although she served aboard many vessels over the years she eventually gained a few companions, though she would never call them 'friends'.
Aboard her last ship, she seemed to fall in with a group of crew mates aboard the ship who seemed to collectively work to annoy and agitate the Captain... To the point where in the next port they were sent to walk the plank just as the ship raised it's anchor to depart. The small band of miserable pirates decided to find their own ship and form a new crew! They set off together, trying to locate a ship they could obtain somehow...
