- Leslie Harkle

2. Where and when were you born?
- 29 summers past in High Rock.

3. Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.)
- My natural father was named Vendle Harkle, a travelling mage of some repute. He left before I was one year old. I don’t know my birth mother’s name. I was raised on a farm by my surrogate mother, Yllana.

4. Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?
- I have a younger half-brother named Trace, son of my father. I know next to nothing else about him.

5. Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people.
- I live in private quarters near the Mage’s Guild in Skywatch with my 4-year old son, Cypher. He has daedric taint in him that I hide with illusion magic. It is a humble dwelling, divided between a basement living space where Cypher can play undisguised and the upper floor where I write, research, and keep my notes.

6. What is your occupation?
- Mage and envoy of the Mage’s Guild, sometimes sent on special assignments on behalf of the Dominion.

7. Write a full physical description of yourself. You might want to consider factors such as: height, weight, race, hair and eye color, style of dress, and any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing marks.
- I am slightly short for a Breton, with long flaming red hair and fair skin. I am shapely with a narrow waist, fine hips and large breasts. I like to wear the finest fashions but deep green colors suit me best, paired with my red hair. I have one tattoo, a stylized dragon in flight across my lower back.

8. To which social class do you belong?
- I consider myself a Lady, though some see me only as a Mage.

9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?
- I am not physically strong, but I have no particular weaknesses.

10. Are you right- or left-handed?
Right-handed.

11. What does your voice sound like?
Soft, sweet, a little girlish.

12. What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently?
- I talk about myself a lot, if you can get me talking.

13. What do you have in your pockets?
- A calling stone for my familiar, a notebook, and some gold.

14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?
- I can be quiet or flirtatious depending on my mood and the company. I tend to need a lot of attention, so I get bored in groups that aren’t talking about me or about things I am interested in. I also sometimes miss noticing details that others find obvious.


Part 2: Growing Up

15. How would you describe your childhood in general?
- I had a happy childhood of difficult farm work. I got a lot of attention from Yllana and wasn’t very disciplined.

16. What is your earliest memory?
- Playing in a pile of straw in the barn on the farm.

17. How much schooling have you had?
- Yllana taught me to read, then I began to learn magic by reading an heirloom spellbook. I apprenticed at the Mage’s Guild for a few years until I became a full Mage and then a Master Wizardess.

18. Did you enjoy school?
- Yes. Knowledge is power.

19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
- I consider myself self-taught, though many of my spells are traditional Mage’s Guild lessons. Yllana taught me to sew clothes, and now I make and enchant my own wardrobe.

20. While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.
- Only the great mages that I got to read about. Shalidor was a favorite. It was very disappointing to meet him in person and see that he was nowhere as handsome as I imagined.

21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?
- I was a well-behaved child. Yllana always said I was a blessing.

22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
- I wanted to be a princess.

23. As a child, what were your favorite activities?
- I liked dressing up, baking cookies with Yllana, and reading stories about heroes and magic.

24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?
- I was intelligent, terribly shy, and obedient.

25. As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like?
- I was not popular; my shyness kept me from gaining any friends. I didn’t get noticed until my breasts filled out.

26. When and with whom was your first kiss?
- Sumar was my first kiss. I was out on a research expedition with other Mages and he stumbled upon us. I think he wound up stealing whatever we were looking for in those ruins, but not before he stole a kiss.

27. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?
- No, I have had many lovers. As for my first, Sumar worked his charms to seduce me a few months after our first encounter. I think I was sixteen at the time.

- As a Mage, I was born into my talents but I could only unlock them through years of study and practice.

29. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
- The birth of my son Cypher has changed my priorities.

30. Who has had the most influence on you?
- Sumar; he took the sweet, shy, innocent girl I was and made me a confident, adventurous woman.

31. What do you consider your greatest achievement?
- Aiding Shalidor in recovering Ayevea.

32. What is your greatest regret?
- I once saw a man get murdered, and all I could do was stand there and scream. I should have done something.

33. What is the most evil thing you have ever done?

- No, although I am wanted by the Ebonheart Pact for killing an ambassador. It was justifiable.

35. When was the time you were the most frightened?
- A few weeks ago I feared that Sumar was leaving forever.

36. What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you?
- I was teleported naked into a jail cell and had to beg the guards to let me out.

37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?
- I would have liked to know more about my real parents and why they left me behind.

- The day I helped recover Ayevea.

- Optimistic but practical.

- Sex between consenting adults is perfectly normal and often a good way to pass the time.

- I can kill my enemies, foes of the Dominion, and monstrous creatures without remorse. I do not support the killing of the innocent or helpless.

- The most evil act is to refuse to help those who cannot help themselves.

- Yes and no. I believe in them in a way that is different from the traditional view.

- Success is gaining power and being remembered.

- I wear my heart on my sleeve. I am not very good at deception.

- I am very open-minded, although I don’t care for orcs.

- I won’t jeopardize the safety of my child.

- I would do almost anything for Sumar or Cypher.

- I am aloof with strangers unless they are particularly attractive. I try to be polite when meeting new people, and I’m often flirtatious with friends and lovers.

- My son, Cypher. He is my joy and my legacy.

- I respect myself most; I am responsible for my own successes.

- Sylvaswift: another of Sumar’s lovers. He is a dark khajiit, handsome in a very exotic way.

- Sumar: my first and dearest lover. He is shadow and mystery and sensual pleasure. He’s a dunmer with strength, grace, wit, and patience.

- I am in love with Sumar. I once tried to claim him but learned that I could not, so I have accepted things as they are.

59. What do you look for in a potential lover?
- Attractiveness, flirting, intelligence. Exotic qualities make someone more attractive in my eyes.

- I am close to my son only, who depends on my care.

- I have; my son Cypher. He is daedra-tainted like his father. Short horns, a tail, dark skin. I am considering having another.

- I turn to Sumar, the only person I trust who is also capable.

- I trust Sumar, though I think if I needed his protection he would hide me away.

- Sumar and Cypher.

- Sheogorrath I despise for his waste of power and destroying the potential of so many others.

- I have strong opinions; I tend to argue.

- Yes. I usually take the right course of action.

- I like the focus of attention to be on me. When that isn’t the case, I get moody.

- Yes; I want them to think I am pretty and smart, even though I come off as bitchy and aloof.

- A morbid sense of humor, or good use of innuendo.

- Someone wasting their talent, or holding back another.

- I would read a book, practice magical theory, or have a drink and listen to music.

- I tend to get angry at the source and try to solve the issue as quickly as possible. I am not a patient woman.

- I prefer to have a plan.

84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you. How do you feel when this routine is disrupted?
- A normal day where I’m not working for the Mage’s Guild or the Dominion? I get dressed and then dress and feed Cypher. Then we play until his naptime. I turn him over to his nanny and change clothes to go out to the marketplace. I eat and drink at a tavern in the evening.

- My intelligence.

- I’m a bit gullible and lack insight into people’s motives

87. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
- I would be wiser.

- Adventuring is a quick way to gain power and wealth. It also allows you to meet influential and powerful people.

- I want to establish my own realm like Ayevea.

- Teaching at the Mage’s Guild in Skywatch, or perhaps Elden Root.

- If I had to die, I would want to do it in a way where I would return more powerful than before.

- I would make sure that Cypher was provided for, spend some time with him and then spend the last hours with Sumar.
