although the accident leading up to becoming a werewolf was tragic, Thairus is proud of Hircine's Gift, while cautious, knowing its dangers. He is more then willing to turn others, and guide them through their transformation.

Thairus was fishing just outside of his home by the Nibben Bay. He was taking a small break, laying in the grass when the smell of fire was carried through the wind. Looking off in the distance, a hut further down the bay was set ablaze. A group of bandits were raiding the area. Realizing that his home was next, Thairus gathered his belongings from his home, and ran west into the forest.

Thairus had been living in Bruma for awhile, and had joined the town guard, his trade as a fisherman was not required out in the cold of Bruma, due to the frozen waters. He had never known a sword until this point in his life, they trained him in the townguard to use a sword and shield, along with giving him heavy armor. He took to sword and shield well, but the weight of the armor made it hard for the fisherman to move around.

Thairus and two of his companions from the town guard had spent their time off in the mountains of Bruma, hunting the local wildlife. At night, the group set up camp and cooked up a meal. After a night of drinking and well cooked veal over the camp fire, they all went to sleep. A loud howl woke them all in the middle of the night, the remnants of the fire provided a small amount of light. Just enough to see large fangs...

Thairus awoke in the Great Forest, south west of Bruma, naked and alone. he made his way towards Bruma, coming across a shack in the woods, from which he stole a pair of breeches, and a tattered tunic.
When he returned to Bruma, he was immediately arrested. The bodies of his two companions, were found in the mountains, and Thairus was being accused of murder.

After spending a month in the Bruma dungeon, Thairus was starting to get sick... he was unaware of what would happen next. At night, Thairus himself had turned into the same beast that slayed his friends, and left him for dead... a werewolf. When the guard came to check on him, Thairus reached through the bars, grabbed his neck, and snapped it. Once a brother of the guard, now dead by his own hands. Thairus stole the keys off the guards corpse, and fled.
