The story so far...
A side note: There were recent changes to the scribe department so the newsletter fell behind a week on the forums. This is a small recap over some of the events that have happened around S'ren-ja over the past two weeks, not one. Thank you!
A Dark Brotherhood assassin came into town to warn of an impending purge due to the repeated interference with a contract; Bethany was stabbed and nearly killed by the assassin. Arisel tried to strike a deal with the Brotherhood, but it ended with her, Hunts, and Ice-Eye all seriously wounded. Hunts died of his wounds but was later resurrected by A Gata.
The Dark Brotherhood attacked S’ren-ja to purge the village, but the guard gathered to fight back while non-fighters were barricaded in the Clanmother’s House. Several guards were severely injured, but the clan held off the assassins. Later a captured assassin reveals the original contract came from House Dres.
There was a murder in the Clanmother's House and a crate of skooma was confiscated. It is now being held in the brewery.
Side events that happened: (warning, lots of arrests)
John Wolf was arrested for the murder of a slaver, later released into Sylvaswift's custody under house arrest. He has now been cleared of his charges but cannot rejoin the guard.
A Gata summoned a dremora named Xel in an attempt to rid S'ren-ja of Tilano Red. Gata was later arrested for the kidnapping of Vollas Red, who is suspected to be dead after giving the boy to Tilano. She was freed from jail after paying bail.
Kath Mckaar was arrested by Bethany on suspicion of treason to the clan and insubordination, but the accused was free after testimonies by clan members and he was stated as the official trainer of the S'ren-ja guard.
Mojahi Ice-Eyes recently opened a brewery in S'ren-ja, lifting morale after the attacks.
