Anexi looked at the list again and frowned. While the first item was simple enough to get, she wasn't sure about the other items on the list. She could understand the purpose of the items on the list, but, Lucrezia Nightblade from what she remembered, was an extremely special friend to the goblin. She was probably the last person Gnarlus would want hurt. Anexi had already met this John Wolf character once before, and he seemed extremely hostile, to say the least. An Onion from an Ogre's Lair? Why?
And then her eyes fell upon the last item. "A scale of Qa'han Sandscales" Qa'han Sandscales, the name was important, a close friend to the goblin. One that the goblin respected, and was thankful towards. One who Gnarlus would help no mater the situation. Perhaps the Argonian felt the same way? Perhaps it would work in her favor to gain an ally in her quest, one that was not Daedric. It was worth a try, and should the Argonian simply attack her, then she will simply retreat a try again.
Fortunately, that was not needed, but it wasn't easy. After some investigation, Anexi discovered the Argonian was in a nearby hideaway, just outside Sren-Ja. After opening the hidden hatch, Kolmok the Scamp takes the lead, and the two Daedra descend into the hidden cave. Half way in, the two suddenly freeze in place, held by magic, and a High Elf and Wood Elf emerge from the shadows.
"What is this now, two Daedra?" The Altmer chuckles.
Anexi hisses, at the two, but does not attempt to break free. She understands if she is to get anywhere with these mortals, she has to play be there rules, like it or not. "Yes, two Daedra, aren't you observant, for a mortal" She hisses.
The Altmer doesn't take to kindly to the attitude, and squeezes her hand, causing pressure against the Daedra. "Yes, observant." she says. "And I'm also observant enough to know Daedra are clever enough to keep away from the Eyes of the Queen. Especially in such few numbers." She says, giving a signal to the Bosmer. The Bosmer nods, and returns to the shadows, traveling up towards the exit.
"If you are concerned there are other Daedra here, I'm sorry to disappoint you." Anexi hisses, "We're all that's here."
"Shame" The Altmer sighs. "And we've been a touch out of practice too. An invasion would liven up things a bit."
"Listen, mortal, we are not here to cause trouble, despite what your puny brain is telling you right now." Anexi hisses. "I'm here by request of my Master, Gnarlus Firethief."
That got the Altmer's attention. "Gnarlus Firethief. The goblin friend the Argonian has been sulking about?" She questions, releasing the pressure on he magic. "I was under the impression that he was dead."
To be continued.
