Entry 1

S___ is a mess, more than usual. There are so many things that need to be kept track of I have decided to keep journals once again. This one will be dedicated to S___.

I have learned a new thing today, he believes he has discovered the source of his problems. According to him they stem from a past lover, Rian. The details are sketchy as S___ knows little of what happened, he was gravely ill at the time. Hopefully more may be revealed in the future.

1. A ritual of some kind was performed binding their souls together. By a Lich. The reason : Rian was immortal and did not wish to live without his lover. S___ was not, he was, is, mortal. It was Rian's wish to pass onto death in the event he lost S___ .
2. This binding healed S___. Rian's immortality perhaps - unexpectedly?
3. Rian died first - how do you kill an immortal?
4. The binding pulled Rian back into life, he lives. In S___ mind the real Rian is dead.

S___ believes it, Rian is doing this to him. They are connected, and his ex-lover is searching for him... to kill him - Paranoia?
S___ also believes he is being watched constantly - They? More evidence of paranoia?

To Do.

1. Research: Soul-binding, Lich's, and immortality. Kalistia is our best bet. Other sources : - Bethany Hawke, Hunts, Donvyn, Gnarlus.
2. Seek out those that dabble in Dark Arts and possibly Necromancers.
3. Research: How to kill an immortal.

Entry 2

S___ is getting worse, more distant or inconsolable; or is this more my acceptance he is who he is and perhaps unable to be consoled. I am learning to ride these periods out, remaining constant and present, but keeping my own peace.

Samar appeared again, the pet dragon creature - vicious little wretch! S___ believes it senses his mood - craziness. It zeroed in on the ring; it is very special and represented much power where S___ originated from. S___ had cast it away. Why? I don't know yet. I may never know. I got it back. I will keep it for now, safe. If S____ does not want it returned, it will stay in my possession. It seems senseless to throw away any perfectly good ring, let alone one of such significance.

S___ believes the Lich, his name is Norlick apparently - very Lichlike; the dragon and he perhaps now are connected. Meaning he lives, not that I knew he was dead. S___ remembered that today; that he killed him once already - when he was a god. He did add he was mad at the time, as in crazy. As research has shown, unless the Phylactery is destroyed also, the Lich will regenerate. S___ believes he is in his temple, where he lived when he was a god. This at least makes Norlick easier to locate. If this temple indeed exists that is.

Could S___ have been a god? He has told me more than once with great sorrow: he is a 'shadow of his former self'. He was once very powerful, feared even. To hear him talk of his former life, with Rian, he was very different. Dominant, nasty even. Would explain a lot in regard to his dislike of Kath. Kath most likely would have been his mortal immortal enemy.

To Do

1. Organise a quest to kill this Lich and destroy its phylactery.
2. Research Sumar's previous illness and a cure. Extract a vial of blood.
3. Order in a case of strong wine and 'special' herbs, I think S___ & I are going to need it before this is done.

Entry 3

S___ no longer feels safe. He is as good as gone now. Unless things change in the clan, I will join him. My bid for Alpha is my last attempt to make things better here. Ri'sari was a weak leader and he brought these trials upon these people. No one except S___ and myself even question Arisel's appointment as Clan Mother, during one of Ri'sari's delirium attacks. Indeed I was the only witness at all. I could if I had a mind to, challenge her position as Clan Mother, but in my own estimation I esteem her as a good choice for our clan... time will only tell.
