Questing While In Character

How many do this? I've started trying to make decisions how Lucrezia would and it makes it a lot more fun for me now. I even bring things into RP that happened to me while questing, if you hear Lu say something silly like "I was chased by two tigers today," more than likely it happened while questing. Lol

Do you try to stay in character all the time or do you use that time to take a break from role-playing?

Ever since I decided rping with Gata I've been questing like this. But sometimes it is hard for me to make decisions and I have to ask for help on TS lol

I fall into character sometimes while playing. It helps a lot when the quest is interesting or the NPCs you have to talk to are really funny or clever or have good voice acting.

My sorceress absolutely refused to collect rat parts for some apprentice mage, especially after she achieved the Master Wizard title.

ive always made decisions while questing from the point of view of my paladin foolishly thinking that those decisions may eventually effect his alignment and how npc's react to him. but before My character charges into dolmans he:

/e Draws his Holy Greatsword, kissing the hilt, says a quick prayer before charging in.

All the time! Especially now at the VR levels where I strictly heal on Arisel. It is her duty to keep everyone alive :P

When I play as Lucrezia, she tries to help everyone and be good. But then I'll play as Cesare and he's only out to help himself and won't do anything that he feels is beneath him, I like the different responses I get from playing them both. It makes the quests more interesting. And I agree, Milo. If it's something boring, I just skip through all the talking just to finish the quest but I love it when they throw something funny in there.

Quest decisions I try to always make how my character would do them. However for the rest I am OOC. My char would never be actually going about and saving people most of the time or help them. The questing just does not fit in with IC so I just ignore it IC.

@ lucrezia - nope, as i'm usually with trigger happy rando's and i need to get in there to tag some mobs before they get in there and kill everything and i miss out on lootz!

I have a few characters that would not work trying to play IC. Like one is a snobby rich girl, so there's no way she'd be out running around and killing things lol. She would probably faint at the sight of blood.

I have pretty much always played in character, especially as I have done many long hours solo both here and in SWTOR. All decisions are character based. Quite often I emote random players and chat in character also. Quite often my character will talk back to NPCs. I would not say I RP hardcore, but I am basically Sylvaswift or whatever character I am playing - it is a habit almost LOL

The decisions I make in the quests are all character-based. Donny is the moral high ground - if a person can be saved, he must be saved at all costs. Transgressors deserve a second chance, and criminals deserve a fair trial.

Korvos, despite being more innocent than Donny, is much more morally ambiguous. Transgressors deserve the swift arm of retribution, even if the punishment is harsh. Those deemed smarter than Korvos's intelligence level usually have their way, since Korvos is conditioned to follow orders, especially from those he views as intellectually superior to himself.

*evil laugh* Kill everything!

Why does that not surprise me? lol
