Chapter 1: The First Change to Start All Change (Edited)
Zi-Xi Awoke to the day that would change all her day's forever. "Zi-Xi itss Time for ssuper my little kitten" Calls Zi-Xi's mother Fajjan. Zi-Xi Twirls out of bed and onto her feet and began to stretched and exercise, as the excitement of the new life that awaited her played in her mind. The smell of her mothers cooking invigorates her, as her mouth waters at the scent of Grilled Fish and glazed breads with sweetened puddings fill the air. "If'ss you Don't Hurryss my little kitten your father with eat all the pudding" Say's Fajjan. "well Look at'ss all thiss food. can't wait to eat it all myself" calls out Zi-Xi's Father Fa'gh. A pone hearing that remark She Dashes through her door and down the stair's to the dinning room. as she enter's she see's a feast spread across the counters. her mother turns from the households hand crafted metal stove and greets her. "Good morning my little kitten, grab what ever you want it is your big day. the day you'ves have been waitingss for, Queen Ayrenn's is Foundings the united Dominions of are peoples. we knows you have plans to join the dominion to strengthenss the bonds between are peoples. and you Can'ts do that on an empty stomachs now canss you" Says Fajjan with a warm smile. Zi-Xi Smiles back warmly and hugs her mother tightly. she heads to the counter and grabs a little of everything and heads to the table to sit with her family. She looked to her father before eating and around the table but the pudding couldn't be found. she looked to her father with a saddened face and a whimper in her lip. "Whats, i tolds you to hurrys or you woulds misss out." he says with a grin, as he then reaches behind him and pull's out a large pudding, and her favorite caramel moon sugar glazed. "So's your in lucks today, for i managed to's save your favorites from your little Daedra Brother and Sister". mentioned her father just as they popped into the realm to greet Zi-Xi. She was happy to see them and hugged them both, for they have been guarding her since she was little and have become family to her.
Her Little Clannfear Bother who has taken to the name Hug, and her little Winged Twilight Sister has taken to the name Kiss, which is also their preferred method of greeting. They hug and kiss Zi-Xi in return and gather at their places around the table. They all Dig into the wonderful spread of delights made by her mother until they are stuffed. then they sat and Discussed the journey that lay ahead for Zi-Xi. "Have you prepacked all the equipment i asked you to yesterday" said Fa'gh to Zi-Xi with a questioned look on his face. Zi-Xi Nodded Yes and made a hand reference to a check mark. "Goods goods. well you grabs your thingss while your mother preparess you a to go provisions for the road." reply's Fa'gh. She nods in agreement and rushes upstairs to grab her things. as she finished collecting her adventuring supply's, she rushed down stairs to meet her parents at the door. her mother hands her a large pack of provisions for the road. Her mother began to tear up as she quickly embraced her daughter of 18 years. " I is goings to misses you my little kitten. knows thats thiss wills always be's your homes ands that we loves yous withs alls are heartss." says her mother in tears almost unwilling to let go. Zi-Xi hugs her mother back tightly with tears of her own in her eyes. she then moves from her mothers embrace to her fathers as he speaks words of confidence and warnings " Nows remember hows I taught's to defend yourself's. and stick to the roads and rely on your brother and sister to scout's the terrians" he says as he turns to Hug and Kiss. "Nows you two's watch outs for your sister and remembers what I taught's you as wells". Hug and Kiss Both saluted her father while standing at attention. The Three of them set out the door and onto their adventure, as she walked away from the only home she has ever known she looks back to see her adopted mother and father waving goodbye as they embraced each other.
A Week had passed as she set off with Hug and Kiss to join the dominion. she has entered Valenwood on her way to a port that would take her to the Summerset isles. along the way she comes across a beautiful scenery that expanded the horizons as she gazed from atop a waterfall. she decided to stop and have some of her provisions. she took out some dried fish that that was preserved and sealed with ice magic. she sparked a fire and cooked enough for Her, Hug and Kiss. she lost herself in the view and her thoughts on the new life she was to lead soon. then she heard a rustle in a near by bush. she and her daedra siblings looked at the bush as it rustled. and then almost instantly a wolf sprung from the bushes and dashed at them. they all made evasive maneuvers, only to find they were not the target. the wolf scooped up the bag of provision in its mouth and began to head for the rock path that lead across the waterfall top. Kiss reacted fiercely and struck the escaping wolf with a bolt of energy. sadly this was done hastily, as the wolf and the bag fell into the waterfall and was swept away down the falls. it was to far away now for them to do anything about it all their provisions were gone. Zi-Xi, hug, and Kiss looked on with expressions of disrepair. Kiss looked to Zi-Xi with sadness and regret in her eyes. Zi-Xi hugged her and kissed on the head in forgiveness to comfort her as best she could. Now they had to find food in a forest they knew nothing about. two days went by as they got lost off the road looking for provisions and failed. Zi-Xi grew hungry and weak as day three was approaching.
Zi-Xi Became woozie and disoriented as she traveled through the forest in hopes of nourishment. her current attempts only found foods that made her ill. as she stumbled through the forest she tripped on a rock which started her cascading down a hill side where she twisted her ankle and broke a rip on the way down. a pone hitting the bottom she cracked her head on the side of a boulder at the bottom of the hill. Hug and Kiss panicked as they chased after her tumbling body. they saw that she was gravely injured and then remembered what Fa'gh had taught them to do in this situation. Hug stood guard over Zi-Xi as Kiss Flew off to find help. hours went by while Hug waited for help to arrive. it grew dark as the later hours of the day became apparent. Then amiss the darkness he heard rustling in the bushes. Hug Growled at the darkness as a pair of red gleaming eyes shined in the darkness. a shadow in the moonlight emerged attached to those eyes in the form of a humanoid. it stared at Hug down as he growled at it. it then quickly closed the gap and knocked Hug out with one swipe. it then turned to Zi-Xi and began its terrible deed. it drank from her life force but not all of it. before it could complete it's terrible deed a light in the darkness flashed before it and chased off the predator. the rest of the night passed as Zi-Xi awoke to being shook about with a load voice calling out "Hey HEY! are you alright, can you hear me. she has no pulse". She Awoke quickly in a state of shock, as she quickly remembered what transpired. she looked in front of her to see a Bosmer standing in front of her with a happily shocked look on her face. " your awake oh thank Y'ffre your alight." Said the wild looking bosmer female. "My name is Desna and i live in a tree to the north of here. I will take you there to rest and recover." Answered Desna. Desna Picked Zi-Xi up and through her arm around her shoulders and supported her all the way to her home.
They arrived at Desna's homestead and she carried Zi-Xi to a nearby bundle of soft hay for her to rest on. Zi-Xi Felt Weak and quickly fell asleep in her delirium. she awoke to the smell of cooking fish. she rolled out of the pile of hey and onto her feet as she began to look around. "I hear that your awake, what good timing. i will be done with breakfast soon." she looked around until she found what looked like the dinning room and took a seat. Desna walked out of her makeshift kitchen with a plate of seasoned fish and set a plate in front of Zi-Xi. " your really lucky you know. if your little Daedric minion wasn't so determined to lead me to you, you would have been a goner for sure. it is a very odd reaction for a Daedra to show any concern for their masters. most would run at the first sign of freedom. Hug and Kiss shift into the realm beside Zi-Xi which shocked Desna even more, as Hug and Kiss showed an affection for Zi-Xi she never thought possible of a Daedra. "Fascinating, i have never seen that reaction before. might i ask for your name my Altmer friend." asked Desna. Zi-Xi began to use her hands to write in the air, but Desna didn't understand right away. "Is their something wrong with your voice?" asked Desna. Zi-Xi pointed to her mouth, then made a talking hand mouth then held it closed and shook her head no. "oh wait are you a Mute?" asked Desna. Zi-Xi Shook her head in agreement to the question. "oh i see well that's a fun communications problem right their. can you write?" Zi-Xi Shock her head yes as she reached into her pocket for paper and ink plus feather. she Wrote Zi-Xi and pleasure to make your acquaintance Desna on the paper. "it's a pleasure to meet you to Zi-Xi. you must tell me about yourself." She proclaimed and asked. Zi-Xi agreed with a smile and began to write all about it. hours and many pages later. "so you were an orphaned Mute Altmer, Raised by Kahjiit and grew up with little Hug and Kiss as Siblings gifted to you as protectors from Azura and Meridia. well you don't hear that every day that is for sure. i must ask you though you haven't even touched your food and you are looking awfully pale dear, you should eat something soon." Questioned Desna. Zi-Xi Didn't even notice the food left in front of her and for some reason it looked unappetizing. she tried to eat the food before her but couldn't swallow. she then noticed a new smell, it was sweet and inviting and across the table. she looked at Desna and noticed the smell was coming from her. She began to feel overwhelmed with hunger at the sight of Desna's Neck. as if instinctively she reached for the side of her own neck only to feel to holes on the left side of her neck.
Zi-Xi began to panic as thoughts about what was going on rushed into her head. Desna Noticed her fear "Whats Wrong Zi-Xi you look even more pale now then before. Zi-Xi began to weep as she was a very honest person she pulled her collar cloth away and reveled the bite marks on her neck. Desna gasped at what she now beheld in front of her as Zi-Xi Fell to her knee's in tears at her fate. Desna panicked at the idea of a vampire in her home but was soon overcome by pity at the sight of the honest Zi-Xi Fall into dpression. Desna New that the change had not yet completely taken affect. She looked to Zi-Xi and grabbed her by the shoulders and raised her head and looked her right in the eyes. " There is still hope, you must ask the gods to cure you and beg for their aid. There is a Shrine to the eight in the middle of the forest we must go there right away." Assured Desna. Zi-Xi Wiped the tears away and nodded her head in agreement. Zi-Xi and the group headed for the shrine of the eight to seek aid in curing her. They grew closer to the shrine When Zi-Xi fell to her knee's. the Corruption had already set in but the shrine was still near by. Zi-Xi Struggled with her new intensifying hunger as she smelled the blood of desna near by, But that was not all. as she grew closer to the shrines she grew even weaker as if being repelled until she could get no closer. Desna wonderd what was wrong with Zi-Xi, as she looked around she saw a make shift sign. The sign read "Blood Suckers don't deserve a second chance." she looked around more to find that a powerful ward had been placed around the shrine to ward of the undead. Desna had then realized they were to late to stop the Turning, because she was already being affected by undead wards. Desna looked at her new friend Zi-Xi as she tried to rebel against the change. Hug and Kiss gathered around Zi-Xi in hopes to comfort her.
Then all of a sudden a light appeared before them all. it was as bright as the morning star. The light danced above them and the shrine. that is when The light began to shine even brighter as the light enveloped them. A voice called out to Zi-Xi " i can aliviate your suffering, but you must Swear your eternal loyalty to me Azura Daedric prince of fate." echoed Azura's voice through Zi-Xi's Mind. Zi-Xi Hesitated for a moment and then quickly agreed. With the deal made the light subsided into an orb of light that shimmered of gold with an aura that permeated rainbows. the orb of light descended in front of Zi-Xi and then took the form of an golden amulet with a crystal core that shimmered all the colors of the rainbow. Azura's voices cried out as if coming from the amulet. This is my only gift unto you will stave your hunger and guard your spirit from corruption. we cannot remove the corruption that is are brother Molag Bal, but we can keep it from destroying your life. you are now a priestess of Azura, spread the light of Azura and you shall always have my blessing and even the darkness will guard your path. With her final words Azura's presences fades leaving the amulet behind for Zi-Xi. Zi-Xi Clasps the amulet to her chests and with tears of joy in her eyes, for she was not forgotten by Azura. She adorned the amulet and it began to shine as it filled her with the essence of life and light. She became a full fledged vampire but had no fear of the light nor did she hunger for blood, for the amulet sustained her needs.
Desna Stood in awe and shock at the kindness of the Righteous Daedric Prince tribute to her new priestess. Zi-Xi's Confidence and pride in her life were restored and even reinforced by her new found destiny as an eternal guardian of Fate. she decided from then on she would always help the living when ever she could and to spread harmony throughout the races. She Named the amulet, The Amulet of Sustenance. Later that day she spent some more time with her new found friend Desna before she set off to continue her journey and mission of joining the dominion to bring peace to all the races.
