After speaking with Donvyn about my daily routine (and after the evil glare he gave me) I've decided to trade in Hunting and other very active and possibly dangerous hobbies (like trying to outrun bears and tigers) for more calm and less dangerous hobbies. I'll be taking notes of what I learn as I try each activity.
Hobbie #1: Clothes Making
1. Making clothes actually is a little dangerous. The end of the needles in my sowing kit Sarena gave me are VERY sharp! One went through my finger very good.
2. Blood does not come out of fabric. My finger wound bled all over my brand new fabric and will not come out. It was a pretty light pink color too. I even tried to wash it in the bucket outside the house but I forget that was dirty water, not clean water (usually Milo handles this kind of thing but being blind sort of changes things), so now my pretty light pink fabric is now a dark red and brown color.
3. Fabric is expensive and there are so many different types!
4. Don't try to make fancy cute cut outs with the scissors until you know which part of the body that piece of clothing is going to cover/not cover.
5. Tummy armor is tricky to make. Metal is strong enough to protect baby but is heavy and hard to manipulate into shape. Everything else is about the same problem and since you would have to make new tummy armor very often as tummy grows, it would get very expensive. Now I know why pregnant woman don't battle, no good cheap tummy armor. Disappointing.
6. Smaller clothes are just as hard to make as bigger clothes. Baby clothes are coming out all different sizes and look uneven. I have no baby yet to measure. Wait, maybe one of the other mothers will let me measure their baby. I will ask Atrabi next time I see her.
7. Be careful with pins when you have a live person as your model and helper. Also remember to get more bandages for Milo.
8. Try to get a female model to wear the dresses as men do not like to wear them, even in the comfort and privacy of their own home and will pout and wine about it the whole time.
