• Maintain the website.
• Ensure that there are enough Officers in each department.
• Present new ideas to Senior Officers for debate.
• Make the weekly officer meeting productive.
• Promote Officers to Senior Officers.
• Keep everyone informed of guild changes.
• Take notes of problems, complaints and issues regarding the administration and send them to the Guild Master.
• Keeping drama and chaos to a minimum when the GM is absent.
• Overseeing that the Rules of Conduct are being met.

I think it's a good idea to keep this structure or something similar to it. Job delegation and distribution seems like a good thing. The Officers could make sure things run smoothly on a day-to-day while the Senior Officers (Advisor & Chancellor?) along with the GM could be planning out all of the big, all-guild things (RP stories, events, reaching out to other guilds, handling large issues that may arise, etc.). That way not one person becomes overrun with a ton of big and little tasks to do.

Or maybe if everyone really is adamant in abolishing this sort of structure, the jobs can be all on the same level, but the senior whatever, or even just one person of each department, can send weekly (or bi-weekly, or as often as necessary) updates, and a summary of all of the things all of the people in that department have been working on, to the GM. So if people dislike the idea of a Senior Officer and prefer to keep jobs all distributed equally, that can still happen.

I don't know. That's my opinion. I still think the first option may be better, just so things are a bit more organized and we don't have officers stepping on each others' toes accidentally and taking or doing jobs that are already being worked on.

I think she just means if people think we need a Administration Department specifically, we haven't actually had anyone in that department for awhile now. Looking at some of their jobs one of them may have come in handy a week or two ago.

I think it may be better to keep them for organizational purposes and I personally believe things run better, smoother, when jobs are delegated and distributed. But then again I guess we're already operating without them as is.

no no, the Administration Department was a department just like Roleplay Department, and Diplomacy department. However it hasn't been used in a long time. She was asking if we thought we even needed that specific department.

This wouldn't effect any other department, we would basically be trying to fill up these roles, that haven't been used in so long. If we keep this specific department

Honestly I didn't know either until Gata asked about it in TS. IMO it wouldn't hurt to have one of them for certain jobs. These jump out at me since they are areas we can improve on.

I agree that those are all tasks that someone or some people should still take care of. Is there another department we can lump those into that could handle it? Or at least handle it once we get a few more officers?

make sure you don't stay up too late trying to figure things out. sometimes getting tired and burned out leads to bad decisions and harder work. take a break and start things up later if needed.

I dont know if we need to have this as an extra dept but I think having one person who does these types of things would be useful. This person could generally help the GM out as it seems that the tasks listed are mainly done by the GM at the moment. I agree that we dont necessarily need one person here but it could be useful, however we should first try and get more people in the other depts that need them.
