Story Tonight Oct 20th

Note: I put this in Backstage so we don't have to worry about spoilers to the rest of the guild

I know all the officers have been tossing around ideas as to what we should do (great job on that everyone), but we did miss the last guild story day so I just wanted to follow up, do we have a story set for the tonight? If you guys need any help, I will be off and on today so just let me know.

I don't think we know. And we cant use the storylines we had because They werent ours... But we can come up with something.
Have we decided what we gonna do for the ic structure?
I was thinking about doing the fishing thing... It would buy us time to finish that discussion...

I think we got the structure down and we can talk about it further at the meeting tomorrow. Factions

Merchant
Guard
Dominion Soldiers
Farmers

sounds like what we have to "start" with, at least those are the ones that consistently pop up throughout conversation. We can always add more later once we get settled in. As for leaders of these factions, I believe the only one that has one so far is the guard, since that is a pre-existing faction.

As for tonight a fishing trip would be nice, but we should probably come up with an idea as to why we are fishing right?

Idea: Say we caught word that the dominion is coming and we don't have near enough food in our storehouses to help support them, and to show the dominion our support we plan a feast for the weary soldiers. We can't grow crops fast however someone comes up with the idea to fish for some quick food?

that would help us lead into the dominions presence when they get here

I like the fishing to buy us time. We still have that festival for celebrating sowing the fields. I was thinking the fishing can be getting food for said festival. Then the rest of the guild story could be preparation for the festival and holding the festival until we get an RP and Scribe senior officer and hold meetings to discuss where we want the main story to go after that.

As for the Dominion thing, with the closeness to Cyrodiil, we could have some soldiers attend the festival after catching wind of it, and then deciding to use Sren'ja as an outpost once they've visited during the festival.

Just put something in the A bright new path for Blue Skooma forum however I agree that the fishing event is probably best and gives us time to organize more. There were talks of a harvest festival things and we could say we are getting food for that or say that since the harvest will be late we need to find another source of food for the meantime.

I just want to point out that you two posted about gathering food for the harvest festival at the exact same time hahaha. Sounds like a good plan to me

About what Ice eye posted on the Bright New Path post.

I was gonna point out earlier about Dro'Jhala, and was gonna ask him if she was still in town. She could def be the one to come and say "Hey, these people left, so how about we move on with the amazing life we have?" and if people really need a clan mother in town, she could be the one. The thing is, I really want the guild to not be so focused on khajiit structure, so even if we were to have a new clan and clan mother, the ic administrative decisions would be taken by the entire council, like in a vote of sorts.
I just really wanted to give all types of characters and all the factions their voice and if we keep going back to a clan mother making the decisions we wont have changed from before.
I wanted all the characters to have a chance to rise and have spotlights *-*

I was gonna make a post about the fishing, but we need to agree on a story for it.
I was gonna say Gata heard the farmers organizing for the festival and asked how she could help
they told her they needed food because you know, numbers of reasons.
so Gata was asking people to come with her.

but that can be done by anyone in any way you guys want.
I got a fishing guide I shall post it as soon as I test it out see if it works

There could still be a clanmother in town, while not focusing on khajiit structure for the entire town right? I don't know too much about actual khajiit structure

I just think we need to make sure we have someone lead it IC who would make sense to lead it. I am not exactly sure on Gata's situation IC so I dont know if she would be a good char to lead it or not. But then I am not sure who else would lead it. The way seems good we just need to make sure the person leading it IC makes sense. We can't have any random street thug (not saying that Gata is one, just giving an example :) ) organize and call upon the people of SJ to do something.

Then should Dro'Jhala, who sounds like is the highest acting lead in the town right now do it?

But I like the thing with the new clanmother and the council. I also like the idea that Gata is helping the farmers with the festival by leading the fishing.

I was thinking the head of the farmers could be the wolfs, since they blend in better, and the head of the miners could be the vamp,
btw I was checking the caves, the one right behind the CM's has less enemies in the entrance, so it could be used.
We'd need military characters, for leading the dominion army thing, though
and merchants...
We could have elsy or herfi speak for mercenaries, since they are both into it,

But we could have dro'jhalla kinda summon people, you know? say "dudes, let's look alive!"

for merchants, we have a series of merchant characters, also, menereth and ri'zharim are merchants,

I know goldenboy's characters are all military, so he could be with the soldiers <3

(I dont intend on giving roles to characters unless their players are absolutelly fine with it ooc)

I dont know. Are we gonna leave it to people IC who is gonna lead them or should we present the first leaders until the dust settles and then allow them to challenge the leadership and have their ways at the top?
Should we do like all the other guilds do and make ranks ooc be similar to ranks ic?

I am just asking, I am fine with whatever.
The only two things I really really want are: people having fun and the guild coming back to life.

Oh, I am fine with whomever leading the event tonight lol, I was just giving ideas, and although Gata is your friendly neighboorhood vampire gangster, she is lately one of the few people handling things ic in s'ren and explaining to people that the town is moving forward. We should have Dro'Jhalla appear more often so people can realize that she is still here.

I really just wanna come up with a plan and was trying to get things done. lol.

Herfi can take Mercs, mostly because I just wanted to say that Elsy does work for the Dominion here and there, and therefore she could be used for something along those lines since I don't really know of any others who could take that. Unless there is someone else who could take that.

But I really don't know. There are pros and cons of having people decide IC. I want officers to lead the groups but then again that may not work IC. Its hard to say.

I think IC ranks and OOC ranks should be separate and let rankings happen through IC stories. Maybe have Dro'Jhala, announce who they think would make good leaders of the council, and see if anyone objects? we can take it from there IC

We need people we trust OOC who make sense leading IC, this does not have to be just officers however we do need to have some sort of control over who can or cannot lead. This is just my opinion on it but we want to have leaders who will remain leaders for a bit and not be changing constantly.

We could come up with a council for our own, and have dro'jhalla (if ok with ice eye) present it.
and we see about people objecting and such ic after she does.
she could say "here is who I think should take care of things. if you dont agree, feel free to step up and nominate other leaders"

Dro'Jhala can also nominate officers of the guild into council position

before we get into that, we are decided for tonight though right? Dro'Jhala (or Gata) announces we need to fish for the festival

I am assuming the council thing will happen friday or next week

(mind you if it is friday I have my annual Halloween party the next day, so I might be rushing around last minute and unable to be in game)

I wanted Gata to lead the vampires, but I wouldn't oppose to another character doing it. I just been having too much fun with her creating all these fledglings LOL.

But any other character would be fine. I really really just wanna make it fun and easy to handle.

For tonight:
I dont care who announces it, Dro'Jhalla probably would be best as to put her on the spot again, as I think people might have forgoten about her a bit with all the drama going on.
but we should get food for the festival, and maybe have other people gather other types of food for the town "the crops will be late, we need to thank the gods and eat for the next month"

With how many vampires you are turning in the town (just haaad to filthy up S'renja with vampires didn't you? :P ) I can't imagine anyone having a problem with Gata leading them, I mean she did turn most of them haha.

As for tonight I would agree Dro'Jhalla would be the best choice to announce it, if Ice-Eye is up to the task ;)

if we need "other" food maybe someone can lead a few people to Rawl'kha to "purchase" food

Note: I wouldn't mind leading people there, but the reason I am so reserved about playing "vital" roles is, some of you may not know, but I run a business out of my house, so my bed room is also my office 24/7, I don't get to go home and call it a day haha. If I do plan on leading the group, it would be in our best interest to have a backup.

I'd hate to be in the middle of RP and have to go AFK to deal with anything that might come up, Like this past Saturday I was suppose to have the entire day off and be able to attend the auction for once, but since one of my guys didn't show up for work I had to go out and do his job =/

people are most likely still at work, on the east coast they are barely getting off work, and on the west it's barely 3pm. So some of the people might need a bit of time, at least for tonight it sounds like we have everything pretty planned out.

1) Dro'Jhala or Gata announce that we wont have a good enough harvest by the time of the festival and need food, someone mention fishing being an easy way to get quick food.

2) lead a group on a fishing expedition

3) another group gets led to Rawl'kha for additional foods, herbs, spices, etc. (optional if we have someone to lead)

4) Mention the departure of the Sugar Claw Clan (either this event or the next one)

Yup I can do the announcing, if we need another thing to do someone can lead a group to go hunting in Auridon somewhere if you want too.

Also option 4 I think should be held off till Friday so we can sort out the ppl who are leading the factions and such.

I would say that is probably the best option, either that or under the tree to make an announcement, doesn't matter which one. So long as people know where to go when we start

We dont need no scripting unless you think we do. Its just a simple event. I can make up what to say on the spot.

I think that is a fine idea Ice Eye, I don't really think a small event like this requires a script
