We are gonna retcon it, pretend it never happened? Or we just gonna shrug it off?
It was not our idea, so I do not know if we should use it...

Should we come up with a reason for them leaving, for Dro'Jhala to announce?
What is going to be our IC reason for that?

and like, how are we gonna incorporate that in the BSRP backstory? Should we just start a new one?

Well, the SCC according to their IC story is that Arisel, being the spiritual leader as the Clanmother, lead them out for their own safety. I don't think they'd have a problem with us making that canon to our story, but I can ask. Dro'Jhala could announce that's why they left.

As for the ruby, I think Herfi mentioned in TS at the last meeting that we could put it in a drawer and save it for later, if anyone does decide to come back, and that way it's still there. We just won't do anything with it.

The thing is, if the town is so dangerous, why would people have stayed? I think we should come up with a different version. Maybe they thought they were in danger, but since they've gone the only crime committed in the city after they left, no offense there hunts, was by one of their members who happened to be around visiting. (It was player requested and blablabla, but if we are going with the safety thing, we should take that into account)
so... like, seriously, we should most def come with a reason for it, I dont know, though. Just making sure the residents that stay feel safe and know that they are protected.

Like, they could have left without specifying to Dro'Jhala, and she just announces that they departed and it was expected since they were always supposed to have stayed temporarily and all, how about that?
I think, again, ice eye had already suggested this before, but it wasn't agreed on or anything got settled about it.

I like the idea of leaving the ruby in a drawer. Maybe a dog could have caught it and hid it in a hole in the ground? It would give a nice scavanger hunt if we ever need one.

There was high crime in the city, I don't see why we can't just say they left because of the danger, and the rest of us stayed to fix the crime problem? I mean, it "was" dangerous with all the crime going on at the time hahaha.

the ruby in the drawer is probably the best idea, I mean it was already locked away in a drawer last anyone saw it. With only few higher ups that actually saw it.

I have no idea then. We could have it so that the ruby really isn't dangerous and they left under the false pretense that it was. And then we just throw it into a drawer for if we ever go bankrupt and need to sell something, haha.

Edit: I just saw Ri'Zharim's post. That could work too. c:

Mhmmmm I am not sure, I wanna hear more inputs on this.
I do however think that if the city is so dangerous people had to leave, no way in hell the families would have stayed, would they?
I don't know. I think whatever you guys decide is fine, as long as we don't send out mixed or "wrong" messages

well why don't we just tell people something like

Sugar Claw Clan "thought" it was dangerous, we suspect they had an issue with the crime that at the time was plaguing the city, or the arrival of the ruby, which has since been locked away.

telling people something like this would give everyone a clear story, without saying anything definitive about the motives of the Sugar Claw Clan.

Yep. I have no idea.
*Sits and begins to eat sweet roll while waiting for others to give input.*

I can also talk to Arisel if you want me too and discuss what we can make cannon for both guilds as to a reason. As far as I am aware Arisel said it came in a vision when she was talking with Dro'Jhala so we could discuss it and then I announce something about it on Friday.

Guys, if we make the canon reason that Arisel had this vision with dro'jhala, why the heck would the people stay?
We need a better reason, one that will not make our people want to leave!

That would entirely depend on what the vision was about, I wouldn't mind it depending on the vision. However I don't think it's a bad idea to keep it vague in this situation

Visions can be interpreted in many different ways. The spirit world does not foresee the future and there is nothing definite you can draw from it. It is all up to interpretations of the future. If Dro'Jhala saw the same vision but stayed so could other people. Also the vision could only concern the SCC not everyone. (This would be Jhala's thoughts on the subject of spirit world, we can sort of vaguely say anything we want about the spirit world as there is no definitive thing it is.)

Mhmmmm I need more thoughts. And maybe more explanations lol.
How could Dro'Jhala interpret it in our favor?

I like being vague a lot, though

I just spoke to Icisia about the reason SCC left SJ. She said they left due to crime rate, ghost scaring people, and a vision Arisel had in the spirit world of SJ completely dead and this freaked her out. Dro'Jhala sees visions similar to these all the time and is not freaked out as she is more 'experienced' with the spirit world. Since Coldharbour is getting close to the mortal plane, the spirit world is rife with images of misery.

It isn't exactly in anyone's favor, a vision called them someplace, the same vision didn't call Dro'Jhala elsewhere. If I am understanding Ice-Eye correctly.

Think of it like a job, my job may call me to one place, while yours calls you another. There is no favor, we were just called to different places

However this isnt exactly what happened. Arisel and Dro'Jhala saw the same vision, it freaked Arisel out and she convinced the clan to leave. It had barely any affect on Dro'Jhala as she is used to similar visions.

see this is the problem, it was bad enough to freak them out... but I see the point there.
