Flair: There is an old knotted scar etched into the back of her left shoulder, covered by her leathers and hood. Also tendrils of shadow spiral down her pale body. Remnants of the death, also not visible unless she is without her leathers. Lastly, very faintly there is a flicker of green markings that refuse to leave her face no matter the magic she attempts, signifying the village she once belonged too.
Rumors: Most judge her because of her, "affliction" so she keeps covered. She has come to control it around those who are not evil. El does not associate with any particular leader, but will work against all who see to do harm. She is a mercenary by trade.
Background: El was born to an average Bosmer family. They were merchants and always traveling. She remembers being told that during her birth they were somewhere in Greenshade, taking important artifacts over to Woodheart, the wind was strong. Their home village was happy to receive the news, in Grahtwood. El and her younger sister traveled with the family selling their wares and stopping back in their home village often. It was a happy life. Her father taught her how to handle a bow, so that they could fight off small wild animals that would sometimes attack their caravan. He also showed her how to use the animals' bones to fashion a very strong bow and lethal arrows. Her mother was well versed in the magical arts and taught her to use shadow to conceal herself and poison to make the arrows even more strong. These were skills they had learned in their own time as young Bosmer.
It was when El had just begun reaching maturity and the family was traveling with important goods through Reaper's March. El thought it would be exciting to have her own adventure. She stored her bow over her shoulder and convinced her younger sister, Melia to sneak out after their family had gone to bed. They traveled only a few paces down the road, El had concealed them both, but they had never been to Reaper's March, therefore had no knowledge of the dangers. Also waiting in the shadows was a blood thirsty vampire, as soon as El stepped clear, it jumped and took her blood leaving her writhing in agony. The vampire ran back into it's lair and Melia took El back to their camp, but it was clear what would happen.
El couldn't sleep she was sick for days. Then one night, her parents had gone to find a healer, leaving El in the care of her sister. Melia had drifted to sleep and El wanted the pain to stop. She was out of her mind. El knew what had to be done, she had to take blood, it didn't matter who's it was. She needed blood. Now. El ravaged her sister, finally the hunger was satiated. But, her sister lay there unmoving. El ran. She never returned to her family. Living underground, or between cities, she learned to duel and handle her bow. She became a master at the assassin arts. Her thirst fed her, she would have to make up for the horror she had become.
