Name: Sylvis
Age: 32
Race: Breton
Class: Templar
Description: 5’4” with blue eyes and brown hair usually kept in a side knot. She once wore earrings but lost them and has since just worn flowers in her hair, as they are easier to replace. She carries one of two staves, one in the shape of a snake for healing, the other in the shape of a flame for fire spells.
Occupation: Specializes in Clothing (some leathers), Enchanting, Woodworking, and Cooking (mostly sweet-rolls)
Family: Married to Mephis Stopholis, a Wood Elf
Background: There is nothing unique about Slyvis' history. The oldest of 9 in a middle class family, she was just as eager to be on her own as her parents were to have her out of the house. Craving excitement and aspiring to be a powerful sorceress, she joined the Mage's Guild…but found the endless reading of tomes to be a bore. So after wasting most of her time throwing fireballs at straw dummies, she set out to find her own adventures. Of course due to her lack of actual skill she was completely inept at fighting off even mudcrabs (who are not as flammable as straw), and most of her encounters with wild beasts or cultists resulted in her clamoring up trees, hiding in abandoned cellars, and squeezing herself under small bridges.
After being stalked relentlessly for several days by a strange ‘man-wolf’, Sylvis found herself hopelessly lost in the wilds of Grahtwood. Weeks of hunger and lack of sleep led her to increased recklessness. On one day in particular, when the stars did not align, an ogre caught her as she tried to steal his basket of fish. One club to the head and down she went.
That probably would have been the end of it if not for the Khajiiti caravan passing by. Taken in by the group and cared for by their healer, she stayed and traveled with them for many months. Having learned (somewhat) from her less than successful experiences, she was finally convinced that some decent healing skills might be necessary for her survival in the wilds. As she learned from the Khajiiti, she also developed a strong fascination with their culture. To this day she has a soft spot for Khajiits and can't help but display a favoritism towards them.
She met her husband, Mephis, at The Boatman’s Tail in Mistral, and the marriage solidified her decision to stay in Dominion lands. They can usually be found travelling together, and although Sylvis always has her heals ready, it’s clear who keeps who alive. She frequents the many taverns and is often seen singing along with the minstrels (when not stuffing her face with bread rolls) or sorting through her excessively large collection of enchanting runes.
