This thread is going to be where I put all of the weekly commerce department reports and talk about what is happening. Please dont clutter this forum with other things.

2014/11/26

I am currently in a bit of a state of transition especially on how I want to run the department.
Things that I hope to change/add (may not happen):
- small weekly reports by commerce officers on what they have done
- get a forum thread started asking members on things we could be doing/ ideas and any feedback on what the department is doing
- Get the secondary guild bank for prizes better again and have a small in and out flow to be used (I have submitted a ticket on getting promoted to guild master in the In Character guild, else if that does not happen and a reply is not given, I will most likely be creating a new guild for only officers to use for the purpose of the bank)
- More organized prize pool (connected with previous point)

Other things that have/will happen:
-Raffle and Auction Advertisement as usual
-I have checked out a website called www.randompicker.com to see if it perhaps would be an improvement to the raffle, I am undecided as of yet
-work on keep the price list updated

The ticket that I submitted has not yet received a reply to my knowledge, I have checked all my emails and have not gotten any word back from them. What will be done should be discussed at tomorrow's officer meeting.

I looked at the website randompicker.com and decided it would be best to continue just using the format of raffle I have used as it seems simpler and quicker for me to do.

I contacted the officers in Commerce and had a discussion with them about their tasks and getting weekly reports etc.

2014/12/08

At the last officer meeting it was decided to 'kill' the old In Character Bank and create a new guild. This has been done by me. This is the link to where it all has been documented. http://blueskooma.com/forum/m/22417574/viewthread/17610120-documentation-in-character-guild-being-shut-down . In short everyone I could kick was kicked from the In Character guild and people who had been active within 2 months were sent a mail to inform them of what happened. The bank items where taken out. Then a new guild called BSR Officer Bank was created and so far almost all of the officers are now in the guild with Commerce Officers and Seniors Officers having the ability to withdraw. All items have been put back into that bank.

Guild Trader Hasiwen gotten for 40k, a lower bid was put in as the monetary income for the week was lower and a lower bid each week will be easier to maintain.

As The Auctioneer's Caravan was attacked by a storm atronach, the senior officers and commerce people who were on took over and ran it. I ended up being the replacement auctioneer. Just over 10k was made.

Advertisement runs were done as normal with less for the auction due to the absence of the real auctioneer and the confusion that came with it.

Guild bid for Hasiwen was 40k and he was gotten.

Guild bank being continously sorted by the commerce dept members.

To do:
I am on break soon so I will try and write out organized guidelines and instructions and the such for the entirety of the Commerce Department to help people understand how it is run and the such. This includes Bank, Prize Bank, raffle, auction and a set of commerce officer guidelines.

2015/01/04

The auctioneer has changed as is now @Daiuin, to help cover in the case of the auctioneer's absence, @Ice_Eye is now the backup auctioneer

Due to the increase of guild funds, I as the master of coin will be looking at ways to increase the prizes for the raffle and perhaps hold an occasional raffle where all the proceeds go back to guild members.

A bid of 40k will be put in for Hasiwen, as per usual

A change has been done to how the auction will be run. Instead of all the mail being sent to the one person in charge of running the auction, the items are now sent to either the one running the auction or the backup. Unless the mails are being received and the auctioneer has near 100% confirmation that they can make it to run the auction, the items will be cataloged in our normal guild spreadsheet and then put into the officer bank, to be taken out for the auction an hour or two before it starts. This change, will increasing the work load of running such an auction is to ensure that an auction can still be effectively run with the items originally sent in, in the case the auctioneer can not show up for the auction on that day, whatever the reason may be.

Also, we will be trying to post links to every auction spreadsheet from here on to the website.

All the usual auction and raffle work was done

A bit of 40k was put in to Hasiwen and we lost :(. This prompted me to look around and perhaps to see if I could get lucky finding a free trader, however as I was expecting I found none (around half or more traders were looked at with a focus on the ones more likely to not have been bought). However I have found Azarati in Wayrest who's current guild store is not very full which could be an option to bid on.

To do:

Evaluate of where to bid and how much for next week, ask the commerce officers (Daiuin) for their opinion on the matter. We should have sufficient funds, and we could just bid again on Hasiwen if we want to. (~130k in the bank however I would not want to bid everything as 100k+ is not sustainable at our guilds current income)

Also I will from now on have all the raffle's on one spreadsheet so I dont have to create a new spreadsheet every week.

The new auctioneer now is @Frestion! The first auction under @Frestion was done well. So that means currently @Frestion is the main auctioneer with @Ice_Eye still as the backup. As Frestion was new to the job, the return of all the items and sending out all the gold was done by me this week.

Bid 60k on Azarati and lost, now reevaluating options and most likely going to bid again in Marbruk, perhaps Hasiwen. The guild that had her last week does not have her anymore and I think we could get her again.

Continue to think about improvements concerning the auction especially about the items sent in as many are returned again (mostly those of lesser value/lower quality), I will most likely put up a thread on the forums to discuss this.

@loyboys215 was given two warnings, and since he didnt respond for several days he was demoted to the dungeon. (we need to discuss how to handle such cases)

A significant decline in items was noted, however as well it was realized that one person sent items to @rainha by the way of an old advert(on TESO-rp apparently). While looking about I did notice in our events, the reoccurring auction event had false information on our calendar and that was updated.

Several members donated items to sell for the guild which meant guild earnings off the auction was higher than in a long time.

Decision was made to move the auction to Rawl'Kha, exact location yet unsure. This was done to hopefully increase the sales and attendance of the auction. If this does not end up helping then taking out the auction as an event is an option. This will be spoken about at the officer meeting.

Item count was quite high which was nice to see and attendance was up but it was still not at that great of levels, there also seemed to be a lack of money to bid or a slight reluctance to bid as it did not go to well.

Jalaima bid was lost, (50k as usually). I have already posted a suggestion thread on the website, asking members for suggestions of who to bid on/where to go. Right now, my thinking is moving location, set up shop in another town where we can try to get a trader. Perhaps put in a slightly higher bid to have better chances of succeeding.

Guild sales evaporated due to no guild store. Not expecting anything this week either.

Raffle was done in guild chat again, it will be done so continuously. Raffle was done on a Sunday this time.

A bid was placed on Hayaia in Mournhold at 75k, bid was lost. The decision had been between Hayaia and one in Marbruk an attempt at Hayaia was made. I shall continue to look around for next weeks bid.

Guild sales stayed low.

Guild Sales: 10931g (376g tax earnings) - 7 items sold

Total Guild Expenses:
Earnings: 25250g (Raffle) + 376g(Guild store taxes) = 25626g
Expenses = 1000g (Guild Awards)
Total = 25626g - 1000g = 24626g

WE HAVE A GUILD TRADER!!! Umm, anyways. Onto the official format.. :P

Raffle broke our previous record by a landslide, at total of 205,500g was sent in for a pot of 102,750g! It was also drawn again on a Sunday, a trend I might keep up.

A bid was placed on Kaale in Evermore at 100,001g (accidentally raised that last 1g :P) and it was won! Sales have already started to go great.

Guild sales stayed low but are going to increase a lot for the next week.

Guild Sales: 1366g (39g tax earnings) - 13 items sold

Total Guild Expenses:
Earnings: 102750g (Raffle) + 39g(Guild store taxes) = 102789g
Expenses = 100001g (Guild Awards)
Total = 102789g - 100001g = 2788g

A bid was placed on Kaale in Evermore at 80k and it lost.

Guild sales were good as we had a guild trader, seemed to have been one of the best sales we have had for a week (perhaps Evermore is a better location than Baandari Trading Post).

Guild Sales: 243860g (8397g tax earnings) - 13 items sold

Total Guild Expenses:
Earnings: 28500g(Raffle) + 8397g(Guild store taxes) + 30500g (Guild Bank deposits) = 67397g
Expenses = 0g
Total = 67397g - 0g = 67397g
(Note, this doesnt include any small amounts of gold that could have been added to the bank, just major sources of income/spending ) (Guild bank deposits was looked at and counted since it was noticed it was significant.

Guild sales up again, but it seems this location does not sell as well as previous ones we have had however it is much easier to acquire.

Guild Sales: 84596g (2882g tax earnings) - 188 items sold

Total Guild Expenses:
Earnings: 8500(Raffle) + 2882g(Guild store taxes) = 11382g
Expenses = 50000g
Total = 11382g - 50000g = -38618g
