(Although I have RP-ed in many games, I always just let my character live in the world. This is my first attempt at a back story to drive my character in a direction instead of letting things just happen to her. It could use help.)

Rumors
She is searching for her family after being separated at sea.
Although a Nightblade, she started out as Templar until she wanted to impress a man she met in her travels.

Background
Sandeep was born into a clan from the desert region of Elwywer. Her mother spent much of Sandeep’s younger years teaching her of the beliefs and myths of the Khajitt. Although she pretends to listen and care, she let most of it go in one ear and out the other. Who needed to learn all that olds stuff anyways? She much rather go out and scavenge for treasure and practice stalking her friends.
After a few years, Sandeep’s family left the desert region of Elsywer. The Knahaten Flu was still a real risk to all. They traveled south to the coast to board a ship heading towards the Isles, figuring an Island would provide more safety. During the voyage to Auridon, the vessel ran into a hurricane. The ship was destroyed and the passengers scattered about. In the turbulent sea, Sandeep was tossed around. She couldn’t get her bearings or find her family. She clung to a piece of floating wreckage until another ship passed buy and fished her from the sea. She was exhausted and slept until the ship finally docked. Did she make it to Auridon? Was here family picked up? No, she was in Khenarthi’s Roost, not far, where she started from, but what seemed like ages from where she began. The ship that found her found no others. Saddened, but not deterred she was going to go find her family. She felt they were still alive and had to find a way back to Auridon.
Through the realization of this new quest, she had to stop and laugh to herself; Khenarthi, the guardian of winds...Could the fact the wind brought her to his namesake island be an omen? Maybe she should have paid more attention to her mother’s teachings. The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails.
